Dallas Cowboys vs New Orleans Saints TNF Same-Game Parlay: Believe in Dallas

After a 6-1 start to the season, the Dallas Cowboys have dropped three of four to drop to 7-4 on the season. They still have a comfortable lead in the NFC East but in the fight for NFC seeding, they will look to get back on track for the playoffs with a stretch of three straight road games.

New Orleans also hasn’t had much luck lately as they’ve now dropped four in a row and are transitioning from Trevor Siemian to Taysom Hill at the quarterback position. We’ll see how much of a difference that makes for them tonight.

For Thursday Night Football this week, I’m taking a look at a three-leg parlay that could yield a +215 return of they hit.

Leg 1: Cowboys at the half

On the season, the Dallas Cowboys are ninth in the NFL in points in the first half with 13.2. In fact, over their last three games, it’s been even better with 17.3 first half points. The chances of New Orleans being able to keep up and go shot for shot with Dallas seems unlikely. The Saints are 26th in the league with 8.8 points on average in the first half. Over the last three, it’s been an ugly 4.3 which is dead last in the NFL over that span. Expect Dallas to get out to a lead early and not look back.

Leg 2: Taysom Hill under 244.5 passing yards

Taysom Hill now has 10 starts under his belt. In those 10 games only once has Hill ever eclipsed 244.5 passing yards. It took him 38 passing attempts to do so with a 7.66 yards per attempt. More than likely, they will have a focus on the ground game with the return of Alvin Kamara. New Orleans is averaging just 31.2 passing attempts per game which likely won’t be enough for Hill to get over the 245+ yard mark.

Leg 3: Cowboys -2.5

I’m using an alternate spread here so all the Cowboys have to do is win by a field goal. The Cowboys have been very kind to us this year with an 8-3 record against the spread and an average margin of victory of 6.9. The Saints are just 5-6 against the spread and are 1-1 as home underdogs this year. Trust the Cowboys to get back on track while the Saints off the rails finish continues.
