Week 13 NFL Player Prop Picks: Two Best Bets of the Week

Sundays are for NFL football. We have our fantasy teams, bets, survivor pools. You name it. But one thing we can't do is forget about the player props. They are essential to our survival as sports bettors. That's a scientific fact. The good news is we don't need a ton of them—just one for the early slate and one for the late slate. So what I like to do is find the most deadly one for each time slot. The one that I think has no chance of losing. That way, I'm happy all day. This actually works, and you should 100 percent try it.

Cordarrelle Patterson Over 37.5 receiving yards (-110)

Line available at DraftKings at time of publishing.

I went to DraftKings for this because they were first to market. I see this as a "bet it right now" line, so I did. I was right to because FanDuel came a little later, and they wanted -114 for 37.5, which is a tick higher. Obviously, we can play both but get the best price when you can people.

This one is absolutely dumb. Nobody can run on the Buccaneers. They've given up the fewest rushing yards of any team in the NFL this season. Here's the thing, Cordarrelle Patterson is a running back by name only. The Falcons line this guy up everywhere because he is the ultimate weapon. If they can't run with him, they'll just throw it to him. That's thinking right there!

This isn't just a theory, though. We've seen this play out a few times already this season. On November 7th, the Falcons played the New Orleans Saints, who also feature an elite run defense. That was no problem as Patterson gained 126 yards through the air. He picked up 58 against this same Buccaneers team in Week 2. I can't imagine him going for under 38 yards receiving in this game.

Gerald Everett over 3.5 receptions (+130)

Line available at DraftKings at time of publishing.

We're going to DraftKings as they are the only ones with reception numbers up right now. Still, it would be hard to believe anyone giving a better price than +130 for this guy. If anyone does, it would likely be BetMGM, but we'll have to wait for them to post. I'd say anything over +115 is worth it for this one.

The Seahawks are throwing the ball to Gerald Everett now. He was targeted nine times on Monday night. We all saw it. The beautiful part is, he only caught five balls, so we're flying under the radar here. To top it off, the misses weren't even his fault. Russell Wilson was just airmailing him. I don't think that will keep happening especially given Everett's low ADOT.

The Seahawks have the 49ers this week which doesn't look great on paper, but we're getting +130 here, so I had to dive deep. On the season, no team in the NFL has given up fewer receptions to the tight end position than San Francisco. But when you look at their schedule, they haven't really seen many teams that even use their tight ends. So go ahead and have a look.

The 49ers have scored at least 30 points in four of their last five games, so we look good for Seattle to play from behind. Even without Deebo Samuel suiting up for the 49ers, I still think they can put points on the board. They'll certainly look for Everett when Seattle gets behind in the short passing game. When that happens, we'll all get paid!
