Washington Football Team vs. Dallas Cowboys Best Bets: Banking on Some Offense

The NFC East division is much closer than anyone envisioned just a month ago. That's what happens when you haven't lost and that's exactly what the Washington Football Team has done. They are winners of four straight games, including an impressive 29-19 victory over the defending champions to catapult this win streak.

Dallas started the season on fire and has since sputtered going only 2-3 in their last 5 games. With that being said, the Cowboys are still sitting pretty in the division with an overall record of 8-4. A win this Sunday would basically close the door on this division race. Star quarterback Dak Prescott is having another pro bowl season, which comes as somewhat of a surprise considering he's only a year removed from his major injury to his leg. For the year he has 23 touchdown passes against only 8 interceptions -- one of the main reasons why he ranks in the top five quarterbacks in terms of passer rating.

Washington Football Team vs. Dallas Cowboys Best Bets

Washington Team Total Over 21.5 points (-110)

From a betting perspective, this game is extremely difficult to project. There are reports of potential bad weather early in the game but I personally don't think it's going to play that much of a factor by the second quarter and beyond. If the field is somewhat slippery, it would actually favor the offenses here so I can see the game going over. However, instead of going for the entire game, I'm going to focus on the Washington Team Total here.

The Dallas defense has been prone to get gashed by the run all season long, and Antonio Gibson is one of the hardest runners of the football nobody has ever heard of. I think they move the ball pretty comfortably in this game.

Dak Prescott over 35.5 passing attempts (-110)

Ezekiel Elliot is struggling with injuries. The offensive line for the Cowboys is a tad overrated and has dealt with injury concerns themselves. These two elements should be a recipe for the game script of Dak dropping back over 35 times to pass the ball.

If their run game isn't effective against the Washington front seven, I can see them utilizing quick three-step drops for slants with their talented wide receivers or check-downs to their running backs and tight ends. Either way, I see Dak throwing the ball a ton in this game.
