Two-Leg Parlay (+390)

  • Cardinals QB Kyler Murray, Over 279.5 Passing Yards
  • Cardinals QB Kyler Murray, 30+ Rushing Yards

If the Rams are to score early and often the way they need to in this game, the Cardinals offense must respond in kind. With Kyler Murray now back in the lineup, that should not be much of a problem, even against a Rams defense that has improved throughout the season.

The Rams' pass defense ranks a solid 11th in DVOA right now, but in this matchup, they might have a tough time. Jalen Ramsey is an eraser against any team's No.1, but the Cardinals have one of the best No.2-No.5 receiving options in the NFL right now. Christian Kirk and AJ Green both serve as wonderful compliments at wide receiver, while rookie Rondale Moore is a terrifying YAC threat in the screen game and underneath. Tight end Zach Ertz has also been a great addition to the squad. Simply put, the Rams just do not have the cover guys to handle all of the Cardinals' options for four quarters and will need their best day of pass-rushing to keep them down.

But that's where Murray's rushing prop comes in. To this point in the year, the Rams have been lights out against the run, mostly because they have been able to beat up on run games that do not have the added element of the quarterback. The Cardinals, however, present a unique spread-to-run effectiveness in part because Murray can be part of the run game. Murray is also as good a scrambler as anyone in the league right now, which he proved against the Rams the last time around with six carries for 39 yards.

In short, this game could be a shootout and I've got confidence that Murray can put up numbers in that scenario.

First Scoring Play, Away (Rams) Touchdown at +240

This bet is sort of hoping the coinflip goes the Rams' way and they take the ball to open the game, or the Cardinals win the toss and give it to them. Either way, the Rams have to get out in front early in this game. Like most teams, Los Angeles has been at their best when they've been able to get ahead or go blow-for-blow early in games and keep on schedule with the way they want to play the game.

The Rams have generally been good at doing that, too. Los Angeles ranks 8th in offensive DVOA in the first quarter this season. A good chunk of that can be credited to the brilliance of some of Sean McVay's opening scripts, of which he has showcased the ability to both put together long scoring drives as well as strike early on unexpected shot plays.

Monday night will be the Rams' biggest game of the year, so I expect McVay and his players to deliver on their early-game magic in this one.
