NFL Week 15 Predictions: The Three Best Bets of the Week

The theme of Week 15 is (insert name here) has entered COVID health and safety protocols. With that being said, I don't think we will have a shut down of any of the major sports leagues, including the NFL. The governing authorities and decision-makers should be more equipped in year two of the pandemic than last year. However, I believe the quality of games will take a bit of a hit with so many players in and out of the lineup. Getting into the pandemic and landscape of public health is crucial to handicapping the NFL in 2021. So let's get into it!

Week 15 Best Bets

Raiders vs. Browns Under 38.5 (-105)

The total has drastically gone down due to injuries to key people in key positions. But I'm also looking at the weather. It seems to be potentially wet and windy in Cleveland on Saturday, so combined with the lack of personnel should force this game script to be quite vanilla. So if you're uncomfortable with the under, look into the overs for rush attempts and rush yards and the unders for passing attempts and passing yards.

Colts -2.5 vs. Patriots (-105)

It's been very public for bettors the last couple of weeks in the National Football League. Favorites with large spreads are hitting, over on totals are hitting, and even trendy underdogs are hitting for the public. This means teasers, parlays, and any combination of them have been very profitable during this time.

New England on Saturday is one of the most popular underdogs of the week as they head into Lucas Oil Stadium. The Patriots are riding high, winning seven straight games, and currently sitting pretty with an overall record of 9-4. When the novice sports bettor sees that, they will bet who they think is the better team by default 100 out of 100 times. I see a buck the trend game here. The Colts possess elite high-level talent at the skill positions on offense, and their defense is solid. The Patriots usually dominate the battle when it comes to coaching, but Frank Reich is no slouch, and I think he can compete with Bellichick and his staff. If they execute and limit the number of turnovers, Indianapolis will get the job done and end the Patriots' winning streak.

Najee Harris Over 69.5 rushing yards (-110)

The Titans have one of the better defenses against the run in the entire league, but I think we see a slight regression to the mean in this one. The offensive line of the Steelers has improved dramatically since the beginning of the year, and I believe Pittsburgh is slowly finding its identity. With the weather changing and these outdoor games being much harder to throw in, Harris will be leaned on early and often in this game. He's gotten over 20 carries in each of the last two weeks, and that trend should continue this Sunday. With that much opportunity and a high usage rate, he should fly over this total.

Week 15 Best Bets

  • Raiders vs. Browns Under 38.5 (-105)
  • Colts -2.5 vs. Patriots (-105)
  • Najee Harris Over 69.5 rushing yards (-110)
