Indianapolis Colts vs. New England Patriots Top Anytime TD Scorer Bets

One month left of the regular season! It's always depressing to think about the end of the NFL season. Do you know what's not depressing? Hitting anytime touchdown picks. That's what we're here to do! With COVID moving games and putting players, coaches, and staff's on the sideline it's going to be a really interesting game of cat and mouse with the books and oddsmakers the rest of the way.

When Patriots running back Damien Harris was announced out on Friday for this game, I immediately checked the oddschecker odds grid and found the best price on Rhamondre Stevenson to score. I was able to snag him at +180 at BetMGM that I tweeted out at the time. Stevenson is down to +100 or lower at every shop now so he won't be an official pick for our Colts vs. Patriots anytime touchdowns. You can follow me on Twitter for more updates like that here - (@Tom_Viera).

This Saturday night game between the Colts and Patriots should be an excellent one to watch. Both of these teams are well-coached and have endless talent on both sides of the football. Unfortunately, this game is projected to be the slowest-paced of the entire Week 15 slate. That just means fewer plays for both sides. So if you're expecting a game like we just witnessed on Thursday night between the Chargers and Chiefs I hate to be the bearer of bad news.

The good news is, I've narrowed down the best options for anytime touchdown scorers for you here on the Colts vs. Patriots. Since this one does not project as a shootout we're going with some higher-priced guys that we like to score anytime in Indianapolis. Let's get to the best anytime touchdown picks for Saturday night! Best of luck if you tail!

Even better than my picks is the OddscheckerUS website compares odds from every sportsbook for every NFL game. This includes odds for anytime touchdown scorers and we find where you can get the best price for your bet.

Colts vs. Patriots Top Anytime TD Scorer Bets

Hunter Henry (+275)

Having the Patriots in a primetime spot isn't really that exciting when picking anytime touchdowns. Their defense is great and predicting who is going to score for them on a weekly basis is nearly impossible. Hunter Henry though has been the most consistent visitor to the end zone though for New England this season and it would be irresponsible to not bet on him. While the Colts haven’t given up a tight end touchdown since Week 9, they did give up one to Geoff Swaim and Ryan Griffin in Weeks 8 and 9, and Dawson Knox had 10/6/80 and Rob Gronkowski 10/7/123 in Weeks 10 and 11.

Jonnu Smith (+510)

As I mentioned earlier, this game doesn't project as a shootout. Getting Jonnu at this price is an absolute no-brainer though! For many of the same reasons I like Henry, I think Jonnu has just an even chance to score and we're getting him at double the odds of Henry. The Colts have allowed the second-most receptions and third-most yards to tight ends. This is a great spot for Smith to have a breakout game! Smith trails Henry by just 9 targets on the year and he's second on the Patriots in red zone targets with 10. He's playing roughly the same number of snaps on a weekly basis. Considering how atrocious the Colts' secondary has been with the second-most passing scores allowed this season with the likes of the Falcons and the Washington Football Team and how often rookie quarterback Mac Jones targets his tight ends in the red zone, I love both Henry and Jonnu on Saturday night.

Nyheim Hines (+360)

The Patriots defense has allowed the fewest receptions to wide receivers this season and the fourth-fewest yards. So I'm pivoting to a Colts running back here. Jonathan Taylor has been an absolute beast this season and I'm expecting the Colts to rely heavily on him Saturday. With that comes more spells to catch his breath on the sideline. The Patriots are a top-five defense in the NFL this season in almost every category except one. That's slowing down running backs receiving out of the backfield. That is Hines bread and butter. The Colts offensive line could struggle tonight against the Patriots pass rush forcing Wentz into more check downs. If Hines gets enough play he can score from anywhere on the field with the ball in his hands. Even with limited snaps, he's third on the Colts in targets this season and the Patriots have allowed the fourth-most receiving yards to running backs.
