Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs New Orleans Saints SNF Same-Game Parlay: Trust the Saints Defense

Sure, it doesn’t have that same juice as Tom Brady vs Drew Brees last year but this is still going to be a good matchup. I know what you’re thinking here, Matt the Saints are running out a meme of a “quarterback” in Taysom Hill what do you mean it’s going to be a good game?

The answer is defense. Tom Brady has yet to beat the Saints in the regular season and the biggest culprit is that dominant level of defense that the Saints have built. Let’s take a look at my three-leg same-game parlay for this game.

Leg 1: Saints +13.5

On the first leg, I gave myself a little extra cushion to play with. In Week 8, the Saints were able to upset the Buccaneers 36-27 at home. Now, I’m not going to get nuts here and say the Saints win this game outright, hence me buying a couple of extra points, but this should be a relatively close game. We just have to worry about if the Saints can get in the endzone a couple of times. Give me Tampa Bay to win this one something like 24-17.

Leg 2: Tom Brady under 299.5 passing yards

Tom Brady is averaging over 300 passing yards per game well on his way to an MVP season at age 44. But dating back to last year, in three of the four times that he’s played this Saints defense he’s been well under 300 yards. In fact, in the playoff game, he sat at just 199 passing yards. Sure, 375 from Week 8 is a little scary but a 250-yard performance seems to be more in the cards this week for Tampa Tom. Opponents are throwing for just under 245 yards per game against this defense.

Leg 3: Tampa Bay under 29.5 points

Again, a bit of a shocker here, I know but I think this is a lower scoring closer game than some others believe. It would snap a four-game streak over 30 points but against the Saints before the bye week, The Bucs put up 27. If the Saints can cause some turnovers, which they have the sixth most interceptions in the league I think that helps keep this game under 30.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs New Orleans Saints Pick

3-leg same-game parlay +280 (Bet $100 to win $280)

  • Leg 1: Saints +13.5
  • Leg 2: Tom Brady under 299.5 passing yards
