New York Giants vs. Philadelphia Eagles prediction and pick for their Week 16 NFC East showdown. Jalen Hurts has been fantastic this season, but his worst game of the year came earlier against the Giants. Can he make up for that showing? Check out Jason Radowitz's pick

New York Giants vs Philadelphia Eagles Prediction: Can Jalen Hurts, Eagles Avenge Loss to G-Men?

Believe it or not, the New York Giants already defeated the Philadelphia Eagles once this season. The Giants knocked off the Eagles, at home 13-7, in a defensive snoozer.

Things have since changed after that win. The Giants have lost three straight to the Miami Dolphins, Los Angeles Chargers, and Dallas Cowboys. Meanwhile, the Eagles have won four of their last five games and while it seems like the NFC East is out of reach, the wild card is certainly in play for the Eagles.

The Giants haven’t announced a quarterback, but at this point, I’d be surprised if Jake Fromm wasn’t named the starter. Does Fromm starting make the Giants more appealing? Here are our picks and predictions for an NFC East rivalry game between the New York Giants vs Philadelphia Eagles.

New York Giants vs. Philadelphia Eagles Prediction

The New York Giants stunned the Eagles in the final game of November. But now things are reversed. The Eagles will get a home-field advantage after winning four of their last five games.

But remember, that one loss came against the Giants. The Giants won’t have Daniel Jones under center and could be without other key pieces. However, if the Giants choose to play Jake Fromm over Mike Glennon, I have to admit, I’d be intrigued with the Giants in this spot.

Fromm has won so many big games in his career with Georgia. However, he’s never been given a real shot in the NFL. I wouldn’t want to bet against Fromm. I’d rather watch him and see what he’s capable of doing.

We do know that the Eagles struggled to find much offense against the Giants’ defense. If the Giants defense performs, there’s a chance that Fromm could manage the Giants into a victory on Sunday.

This is what Fromm did every week with Georgia. He wasn’t the best quarterback every week but the Georgia defense performed and he helped create long drives and scoring drives on top of those long drives.

So while the Eagles offense has been moving and grooving recently, the one time that offense struggled in the last five games has been against the Giants. Maybe the Giants just have the Eagles’ number here.

The Giants haven’t performed well at all this season, but one area that the Giants have actually performed in is tackling. They’re making tackles once they get a hand on the player. If they do that against Hurts in this game, the Giants could be a threat.

Either way, I’m expecting another low-scoring game between these two teams. But if you want to risk it a bit, try the Giants at +10. My best bet, however, is the under 40.5.
