Matt O'Leary shares a same-game parlay for the Dolphins vs Saints on Monday Night Football

New Orleans Saints vs Miami Dolphins MNF Same-Game Parlay: Backing the Dolphins

Tua Tagovailoa vs Ian Book. No, it's not Alabama vs Notre Dame but this taking place in the NFL in 2021, isn't exactly something I expected to take place. The New Orleans Saints are decimated by COVID, like most of the NFL, this week in Week 16.

As for the Miami Dolphins, they are playing great football right now. They've now won six games in a row to get back to .500 at 7-7 after a 1-7 start to the season. Will they have enough to get into the playoffs in the AFC?

Today, I'm taking a look at a same-game parlay for the Dolphins vs Saints matchup on Monday Night Football and I like Miami a lot this week.

Leg 1: Miami Dolphins Moneyline

Can Miami make it seven straight wins? Yep, they absolutely should. Sure, they are just 2-4 on the road this year but looking at their matchup against Ian Book looks way too good to pass up on. This Dolphins secondary is incredible and they've held the opposition to under 230 passing yards in three straight weeks. Expect a relatively low-scoring game with the Dolphins coming out on top.

Leg 2: Over 36.5 points

Remember I said low scoring, I meant it. I took an alternate point total at just 36.5 points. The Dolphins offense has been clicking the last few weeks with two 30+ point performances the last three weeks. Against this tough Saints defense, even with some key pieces out, I think they will score somewhere in the low 20's in points which means the Saints offense has to get to the low teens in points. With Alvin Kamara still active I'm hoping that it's enough with Book trying to navigate an NFL defense for the first time.

Leg 3: Dolphins Over 19.5 points

After a tough start to the season offensively, the Dolphins have settled in and cleared that number five straight games. As for the Saints defense, they've allowed just nine points over the past two weeks. The big difference is that the Saints will be without Demario Davis, Kaden Elliss, and Malcolm Jenkins on that side of the ball. I don't expect a 30 point performance from Miami this week but with a potential turnover-prone quarterback on the other side, they should be fine to clear 20 points.
