Indianapolis Colts vs. Las Vegas Raiders Same-Game Parlay Picks: Will Sam Ehlinger Execute for the Colts?
The Indianapolis Colts are currently in the playoff hunt and will more than likely have to play without quarterback Carson Wentz, who has tested positive for COVID. That means the Colts will have to ride with former Texas Longhorns quarterback Sam Ehlinger, who will make his first NFL start if Wentz isn’t cleared by Sunday. On the other hand, the Las Vegas Raiders aren’t out of playoff contention yet either. The Raiders have won their last two games, despite only scoring 16 and 17 points in those two games. The Raiders have been getting lucky, playing teams with backup quarterbacks. And now they just got lucky again. Here’s our favorite Same-Game Parlay for the big AFC matchup between the Las Vegas Raiders and Indianapolis Colts.

Raiders vs Colts Same-Game Parlay Picks
Leg 1: Raiders +7 (-114)
The betting lines suggest that Wentz will be back on Sunday. But I’m not buying it. The Colts were so desperate for another quarterback that they called Phillip Rivers while he was on vacation to play quarterback on Sunday. The Raiders will more than likely get back Darren Waller and tight end and that should help the offense score more points. So far, against backup quarterbacks, the Raiders have done just fine. Let’s also not forget that the Raiders are still in playoff contention too. Motivation isn’t a factor in this game.
Leg 2: Under 44.5 (-114)
Again, the Raiders have dominated defensively against backup quarterbacks. Offensively, the Raiders have struggled to do much but have done enough to win games against teams that didn’t have their normal quarterback starting. So with that, I like the under to hit in this game. The Raiders have potential with Waller back, but overall, if the Colts have to rely on Ehlinger to move this offense down the field, it’s going to be a long day. We’ve seen new quarterbacks go under center countless times. Last weekend, it was Ian Book for the Saints and that didn’t go well either. If Wentz is out, I’d be all over Las Vegas.
Leg 3: Raiders +4 First Half (-115)
The Raiders aren’t a great team but should have Waller back on offense and the defense has stepped up against borderline starters this year. So if Ehlinger is in, I like the Raiders to get out to an early lead and hold it against a rookie quarterback that has never been in this position before. There’s a lot of pressure on Ehlinger if he has to start. He was a monster in college and can move around in the pocket and scramble for first downs. He’s not the worst backup, but we said the same about Ian Book until we watched him get rocked by a Miami Dolphins defense that was feasting on bad opponents throughout the second half of the season.
