NFL player props expert John Hyslop has a late player prop to add to Week 17 for the Denver Broncos vs. Los Angeles Chargers clash.

Denver Broncos vs. Los Angeles Chargers Player Prop Picks: Bank on Fant Go Off

Sometimes I feel bad for the books. I like to picture a guy in his mid to late 20s, slaving away making lines just trying to impress his bosses to get ahead. Maybe he has a wife and a couple of young kids at home. Guy probably is on track to coach the kids' soccer and basketball teams when they're old enough. Just living the dream. Then here we come to ruin everything for that guy on a daily basis. All his work, all his dreams just gone because we're smarter. It's sad really. Some people will say it's his fault for not being good enough and those people are right. It still just makes me feel bad. Guy almost had it all.

Noah Fant Over 36.5 receiving yards (-115)

I'm at DraftKings for this one because nobody else has a number for Fant. Not FanDuel, not DraftKings, not Barstool. I get it though. The DraftKings guy is just more of a go-getter than the others even though it's to his own detriment. We can take comfort knowing that the others will probably come out in the same ballpark as this one so we can just go ahead and get down now.

Let me tell you a little bit about the Denver Broncos. They're missing pass catchers. Both Jerry Jeudy and Tim Patrick will miss this game on the Covid list. Courtland Sutton could end up sitting out as well since he's listed as questionable with an illness. That's good for a guy like Fant who just needs an opportunity to show what he can do. That opportunity is coming today.

There is one thing I don't like about this play and it's the fact that the Los Angeles Chargers' run defense is horrible. Only three teams in the NFL give up more rushing yards per attempt than they do. The Broncos should be able to run when they want their hands forced into passing a little.

Still, at some point, the Chargers should jump out to a lead on these guys and when that happens, so does the Fant magic. Partly because he's filthy and partly because the Chargers can't cover tight ends. Only one team in the NFL has given up more receiving yards to the position this season. I feel bad for the guy who made this line because he messed up.
