Pittsburgh Steelers vs Cleveland Browns MNF Same-Game Parlay: Trust Mike Tomlin

Both the Cleveland Browns and Pittsburgh Steelers are fighting for their playoff lives. It's going to take a miracle for either of these teams to make the playoffs but each team desperately needs a win in Week 17.

For the Steelers, they're coming off a blowout loss to the Chiefs on the road. Cleveland suffered a heartbreaker in Green Bay on Christmas in Week 16, so which team bounces back to keep their hopes alive?

Well, I have a same-game parlay for us to try our luck on this week.

Leg 1: Steelers over 1.5 team touchdowns

Can they get to 14 points? That's all I keep asking myself here, I know neither of these teams are playing great offensively right now, especially Pittsburgh but can they get to 14? My guess is yes. At home this year, they've scored 19, 20, 16, and 29 over their last four home games. Expect a heavy dosage of Najee Harris and for the offense to do just enough to get over this mark.

Leg 2: Browns over 1.5 team touchdowns

Yes, the Browns are another inconsistent team offensively. In their last two games, despite both being losses, they cleared 14 points in both of them. The last time the Browns took on the Steelers they put up only 10 points so this is a tad risky but my logic is that a desperate team like Cleveland will have a good effort, even if they don't win.

Leg 3: Steelers +3.5

I am hammering the Steelers in this one. Since Mike Tomlin has been coaching this team, the Steelers are 14-3-2 as a home underdog for an 82.4 percent cover percentage. Both of these teams stink and it's probably a field goal game either way so take the Steelers with the extra half-point to potentially give you a cover even in a loss but my expectation is for Pittsburgh to win this outright.

Pittsburgh Steelers vs Cleveland Browns Pick

3-leg same-game parlay +200 (Bet $100 to win $200)

  • Steelers over 1.5 team touchdowns
  • Browns over 1.5 team touchdowns
  • Steelers +3.5
