Denver Broncos vs Kansas City Chiefs Prediction

The Chiefs came in with expectations of winning another super bowl and AFC Championship, while the Bronco's pre-season expectations were fairly low. Teddy Bridgewater took over the quarterback responsibilities for Denver but had trouble staying healthy this season.

The Broncos jumped out to a hot start, and people wondered if this team could make some noise and find their way into the postseason. The Bronco's defense has proved to be solid this season and was able to even win them a couple of games along the way. The Chiefs started the season cold, and the whole world began to freak out.

People questioned the play of former MVP Patrick Mahomes and some other stars like Travis Kelce and Tyreke Hill. The Chiefs quickly silenced the critics and soared into first place in the AFC West as they locked up the division a couple of weeks ago. This is still one of the best teams in all of football, and their defense has been the biggest surprise. The Chief's biggest struggle, even during their super bowl run, was their defense. This year, Steve Spagnuolo's job as defensive coordinator for KC is something worth acknowledging.

In this game, the play I am turning to will be the under on the total that currently sits at forty-five. I love this under play for a few reasons, but the first reason I love this play is the pace that the Denver Broncos play with. The first time these teams played, the Bronco's strategy was clear. Keep Patrick Mahomes on the sideline, run the football, and throw short passes. The clock will be in motion constantly when the Broncos have the football, especially early. I believe this is a great spot to take the under in.

I think the Chief's defense will be able to handle the Bronco's offense as they did the first time these teams played. The Broncos really struggle to create any type of explosive plays, so I do not see many points being scored in this game from the Denver side. The final thing we need to think about is how much this game means to Kansas City. I think if they get a decent lead, you will see them pull out some of their starters and possibly Mahomes for the fourth quarter.

I do not see the Broncos being able to score enough points in this one to get over this number. The Broncos are one of the best scoring defenses in all of football, ranking number three, allowing opposing teams just 18.4 points per game. This defense should be able to limit the Chief's explosive offense and keep us under this forty-five-point total.
