Philadelphia Eagles vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Hit The First Touchdown Scorer at Betfred

The Eagles have been dominant recently on the offensive end. Despite losing the regular-season finale to the Dallas Cowboys, 51-26, the offense has put up at least 20 points in each of their last five games. The offense is capable of scoring points but so can Tampa Bay. The Buccaneers are the reigning Super Bowl champions and will get back a big piece to their offensive puzzle in Leonard Fournette. It won't take long for the first touchdown to be scored. But the question is, which player should get the job done? Here are our top three options for the first touchdown scorer in the Eagles vs Buccaneers NFC Wild Card game.

Philadelphia Eagles vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers First Touchdown Scorer

First TD Scorer: Jalen Hurts Anytime Touchdown (+1300)

Scared money doesn't make any money. But I will say one thing, the Eagles will be scared of turning the ball over early in this game. So what will the Eagles do? They'll run the football, especially in the red zone. With Miles Sanders and Jordan Howard, both expected to return, the defenses might commit to stopping the running backs and could forget about Hurts in the red zone. Hurts has rushed for 10 touchdowns on the season. He could add an early one against the Buccaneers.

First TD Scorer: Leonard Fournette Anytime Touchdown (+500)

*EDITORS NOTE: FOURNETTE WAS NOT ACTIVATED AND WILL NOT PLAY ON SUNDAY*

If you don't believe in the Eagles to score first, then, of course, you're looking at players from the Buccaneers. Leonard Fournette is expected to return to the starting lineup and he's a huge threat when available. Fournette led the team with eight rushing touchdowns and had 812 yards on 180 carries. But he's also capable of catching passes, as he was targeted with about seven balls per game when healthy. So with a bunch of expected carries and a bunch of expected targets in the passing game, Fournette could absolutely be the first player in the end zone.

First TD Scorer: Mike Evans (+600)

If Brady decides to go deep on a play or two, look out for Mike Evans to score a touchdown. Evans didn't lead the team in receiving yards this season. It was Chris Godwin. However, Godwin is now out for the year and Evans is clearly the main guy with Antonio Brown getting cut from the team. Evans has 14 touchdown receptions this season and averages 14 yards per catch this season. If the Buccaneers decide to go deep early, it'll be Evans making the big play.
