Cowboys vs. 49ers Prediction

The 49ers come into this game following a massive win over division rival the LA Rams. The 49er's win over the Rams landed them a spot in the postseason, and now they will have a chance to knock off the NFC East Champions in the Cowboys. The Cowboys had an easier path to the playoffs as they knew mid-way through the season that they should win the NFC East. The Cowboys have been led by quarterback Dak Prescott, the current favorite to win NFL Comeback Player of the Year.

Thanks to a few young players, the Cowboy's defense has been a pleasant surprise for them. The first one is rookie out of Penn State Micah Parsons, who has been a matchup nightmare for opposing teams this season. The second is the NFL's leader in interceptions cornerback Trevon Diggs. Diggs has been outstanding this year and will look to make an impact again in this pivotal game. Something to note is the 49ers have not lost a game this season when Jimmy Garoppolo has not been picked off. The 49ers will need to win the turnover battle in this game to pull off the upset. The stage is set for a great game on Sunday afternoon.

The play I am going to take in this game is going to be to back the dog in the San Fransisco 49ers. I love the dog in this game for multiple reasons but let me get into why this dog will cover and pull off the upset. The first major advantage I see in this game on Sunday is the coaching difference in this game. I think the 49ers hold a serious advantage here with Kyle Shanahan vs. Mike Mccarthy. Mccarthy has shown to make some major mistakes over the years, and Shannahan has shown how creative he can be with his offense. I think the coaching difference will play a role in this game, and the 49ers will be able to use the run game very well.

The game plan will have to be to run the football, control the clock, and keep Dak Prescott and the Cowboys offense on the sidelines. I think this is a good Dallas team, but I question the Cowboys' wins this season. They beat two playoff teams all season, one in the Philadelphia Eagles and the other being the New England Patriots in overtime. The majority of the Cowboys' wins came against nonplayoff teams. I think the 49ers have better wins this season and will be the more prepared team in this game. I love the fact we are getting points with the 49ers, and I think the line is telling the tale here. I am sprinkling some money on the money line as well. Let's cash in the dog.
