ANALYSIS

Dallas Cowboys vs. San Francisco 49ers Best Player Prop Bet: Bank on Schultz

Dallas and San Francisco have a long-time rivalry, and it's always been about the receivers and the tight ends in these games. We can go back to Jay Novacek and Brent Jones, Jason Witten, and Vernon Davis. These teams have a rich history of tight ends and, of course, George Kittle and Dalton Schultz (who?). Yes, Dalton Schultz has been there all year. Consistent with all the Cowboys receiver injuries, this man has been the steady guy that Dak has trusted and built a rapport with.

You probably don't believe us, but Schultz has had games with 8 catches twice, 6 catches six times, 5 catches twice, and a 4 catch game. That's 11 games where he would have caught more than 3.5 receptions which is his prop today. He had 104 targets this year, which is over 6 a game. What Quarterback doesn't like using his tight end? Let's look at yesterday when Darren Waller had 7 catches on 12 targets, and CJ Uzomah had 6 catches on 6 targets, both beating their props. We also had Dawson Knox make 5 catches as he was the star, and even though Hunter Henry only made 1 catch, he had 4 targets and dropped an easy one. The tight end is your friend, and with the Cowboys having injuries all year or COVID with Lamb. Cooper, Wilson, Pollard, there has been one mainstay: Schultz.

This total on the game is the highest of the weekend, so we expect some offense. With the number one offense in the NFL this year a team that got over 282 yards passing, we expect the guy who caught the second-most balls on the team (Lamb got 79 one more), the guy who played all 17 games this year, and the guy who caught more than 3.5 11 times this year to do it one more time today. So let's ride the tight ends and especially Schultz to get us the winner. We recommend over 3.5 catches for Schultz as we see him getting 5 today. Trust your tight end. He is your friend, and we trust him to be our friend for a few hours and make the book our enemy.
