NBA Player Prop Picks for Tuesday: It's Temple Time

I've come down with YOLO fever again. I legit can't sit down at my desk and look through regular lines like a normal human being. It has to be FanDuel escalators or nothing. All I have is visions of +200 or higher bets flashing in my brain. A lot of people would think that's a cause for concern. Not me, I think it means it's time to gamble. You have to ask yourself one thing; do I want to scrape by with these -115 bets for the rest of my life, or do I want to live like a king and go +200 or higher all the time. I think the answer is clear here people. I'm doing something fun tonight (and maybe a little dumb).

Garrett Temple 15+ Points @ +215 (Bet $100 to win $215)

Odds available at FanDuel at time of publishing

Obviously, this one is at FanDuel as every other book is showing us 11.5 in the -120 range. That's fun and all but it just doesn't move the dial for me today. My appetite for the good life is just too big this afternoon. I need at least +200 or better.

Here's the thing, you guys shaking your head at this don't understand Garrett Temple. If you did, you would be saying, "oh my God, this is the greatest thing I've ever done with cash." This play is absolutely perfect and I will tell you why.

Nobody is playing for the New Orleans Pelicans tonight. The injury report legit says "everybody - OUT". Somebody is going to have to score for them though and we all know from last night it won't be Herbert Jones (sorry Herbert, nothing personal). He may get his but Temple is who I like best.

Even if the Pelicans get blown out tonight, Garrett Temple should flirt with 30 minutes. That's huge. What I like best about him is he seriously thinks the offense goes through him. Given the fact that a rookie is the only regular in the starting lineup with him tonight, he should take 12+ shots. The last time something similar to this happened was New Year's Day against the Milwaukee Bucks and he took 12 shots in just 25 minutes. He scored 14 points so he feels short but still.

The thing about that game was that the Pelicans still had Josh Hart and Devonte' Graham that night. Even with those two on the floor, Temple still took three threes in the first two minutes and 15 seconds. He took six shots in the first six minutes of the game. The guy is wild.

Now I know the Pelicans are on the road and playing one of the better teams in the NBA in the 76ers, but I don't think that totally matters. First, 15 points isn't that many (only one more than 14: math). On top of that, Philadelphia is missing good perimeter defenders in Danny Green and Matisse Thybulle (even if Thybulle plays he could be on a minute count). Plus, how seriously will the Sixers take this game? This one doesn't feel that crazy.
