John Hyslop is trusting Tyler Higbee to reach his prop in the Los Angeles Rams vs San Francisco 49ers matchup in the NFC Championship game.
ANALYSIS

Los Angeles Rams vs San Francisco 49ers Player Prop Picks: Trusting Tyler Higbee

I like to have a certain trusted few guys to deploy on any given Sunday. Almost like a gang (but a nice one). When I look at the schedule for each week, I take note of which guys play who and figure out who to deploy. This week was easy. Almost too easy. I have a guy going that the books still haven't caught up with. In fact, he's my best earner. And that's saying a lot because I have a lot of good earners. He's playing after the Joe Burrow show on Sunday evening and even though he'll probably cash this in the first half, we should still do it.

Tyler Higbee Over 39.5 Receiving Yards (-114) (Bet $114 to win $100)

We need to get down on this guy now because he's priced to move. DraftKings and BetMGM have already moved him to 40.5 at -115. Barstool jumped him up to 41.5 -117. It's a mad rush rush to hope aboard the Higbee train and for good reason. The guy is a proven winner.

I don't just send bums out on the street to bring back cash people. I send real muscle. You want to talk results, let's talk. In his last six games, Higbee has gone over this number in all of them. In that span, he's been targeted 40 times. Matthew Stafford knows what time it is. He knows who to look for when he has to have it.

If you haven't heard, the Rams are playing the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday. Yes, that's the same 49ers that Higbee big-boyed for 55 yards less than a month ago. The 49ers aren't really a team that you target tight ends against, but we're talking Tyler Higbee here. Not some scrub.

Here's how I see this game going. I have no idea. These two teams look like they both could win this game and either play from ahead or behind (slowly too). What I do know is Matthew Stafford doesn't want to mess this whole thing up (he still might). He's going to look underneath and when he does, he'll see Higbee because that's where he always is.

If I had to guess, I'd say Higbee is good for a 5-50 on seven targets type line. His ceiling is questionable since doesn't like to show out for 100+. That's just not his style. He's a "get you 40" type guy. I'm fine with that.
