Los Angeles Rams vs. San Francisco 49ers NFC Championship Picks: Will the 49ers Cash the Upset?

The San Francisco 49ers have marched right into LA and taken the mighty Rams down twice, I think they do it again on Sunday. While preseason expectations had the Rams getting this far, the 49ers have really battled back from a slow start, with plenty of injuries, and are suddenly one game away from being right back in the Super Bowl, maybe against a similar opponent.

NFC Championship Picks

49ers Moneyline (+155) (Bet $100 to Win $155)

I’ve never once heard a coach versus coach win streak brought up as a negative so many times, implying that because Shanahan has bested McVay too many times, it’s less likely to happen again. If the 49ers continue to efficiently run the ball, put Jimmy G in good situations, and avoid costly turnovers, they can win this game. I’m surprised this spread hasn’t moved since it’s opened at 3.5, love the hook there, I’m just so confident they take it outright I’ll bet the moneyline instead.

Deebo Samuel 35+ Rushing Yards + Cam Akers Under 74.5 Rushing Yards (+130) (Bet $100 to Win $130)

This Prop attacks two of my favorite leans in this game. I believe that Deebo Samuel is probably gonna see 10+ carries, for his third straight playoff game, and I think Cam Akers will once again struggle against the 49ers run defense.

While Cam Akers has only been back for two games, he hasn't been great. I understand how amazing it is that he was able to rehab his injury this quickly, but not only doesn't he look 100%, but he has one of the toughest matchups there is. The Niners have not allowed 60+ rushing yards in 7 straight games, including limiting both playoff opponents under 50 yards. While Akers wasn't healthy either time these two teams clashed, Henderson and Mitchell were both held under 45 rushing yards. Akers has 55 and 46 rushing yards, on 3.2 and 2.0 yards per carry thus far along with two very costly fumbles, I think he stays under this number for sure.

Deebo Samuels' transition to being an overall offensive weapon has been impressive. Not only has he been incredibly explosive out of the backfield, but he is seeing consistent volume in the playoffs. Elijah Mitchell hasn't been phenomenal with his touches like he was during the regular season, and that has resulted in two 10 touch games for Deebo resulting in 39 and 72 yards. In his regular season matchup before the playoffs, he had 8 rushes for 45 yards. Hes just so explosive, if the Niners want to win this game then I think he will need to be a big part of it.
