Super Bowl 2022 Prop Picks: Who Comes Out on Top in the Joe Mixon vs. Cam Akers Matchup?

Most Rushing Yards: Cam Akers vs. Joe Mixon

While you may find it hard to believe should you only have watched the playoffs for the Rams, Cam Akers missed the entire regular season with a torn achilles that many had thought should have ended his entire 2021-22 season. Not only has Akers done the improbable in finding his way back to the field, but he has produced in three playoff games that got the Rams to the Big One.

Over the course of three games, just two of which he started, Akers ran for 151 yards despite splitting time with RB2 Sony Michel who took 33% of the Rams total rushes.

On the other side of this equation is another elite running back in Joe Mixon. Through his three playoff games thus far, Mixon has run for 190 yards on 52 attempts. Those 52 attempts, however, accounted for 95% of Bengals' running back attempts.

In this head-to-head matchup, I'll take the fresher legs with Akers as I expect the Rams to pull out ahead of this one early and largely look to eat clock.
