Total Game Sacks Over 5.5 (+110) (Bet $100 to Win $110)
For this prop, we need to look at both sides of the ball. The matchup that everyone has highlighted all week is the one between the Rams pass rush and the Bengals offensive line. Cincinnati's line has been a dumpster fire in these playoffs, especially the interior part of the line. When the Bengals played the Titans in the divisional round, Joe Burrow was sacked nine times, a mark that tied the playoff record for most sacks surrendered in a game. Much of that pressure came on the interior, where Jeffery Simmons accounted for three of those nine sacks. The task won't be easier here against perhaps the best defensive player in the world, Aaron Donald.
However, the Rams' dangerous pass rush doesn't end with Donald. Even if the Bengals manage to subdue him, they'll have to deal with Leonard Floyd and Von Miller coming off the edge. Collectively, this group ranked third in the NFL with 50 sacks this season. The narrative—that the Rams have the potential to break the game by annihilating the Bengal's offensive line—is well-founded. I expect the Rams to contribute 3-4 sacks at a minimum.
On the other side, I also think that the Bengals should be successful enough to get us squarely over this number. The Bengals have a good pass rush group, led by Trey Hendrickson and Sam Hubbard, and I think they will be able to get to Stafford. The group had 42 sacks this season, which ranked 12th in the league. 5.5 sacks is a relatively high bar to clear, but the Bengals just need to chip in two or three. That, combined with the Rams' defensive front dominating the line of scrimmage, will give us a good shot at hitting the over. I love the value at plus money—this is one of my favorite props for this Super Bowl.
