Total Game Turnovers O2.5 @ -130 (Bet $130 to win $100)
This is an interesting prop, one that will hinge on the ability of these two defenses to make plays and create turnovers. There are a few reasons I like the over, the first of which is that Matthew Stafford has a propensity to throw interceptions in high-pressure moments. In fact, he leads all active NFL quarterbacks with 27 pick sixes in his career. Stafford tied Trevor Lawrence for the most interceptions this regular season with 17, meaning he averaged roughly one per game. He has taken care of the ball well through these playoffs, but that could change at any time.
The Bengals' defense has been excellent at forcing turnovers through three playoff games this year. Their most notable one was the divisional victory over the Titans, where they picked Ryan Tannehill off three times. Cincinnati also intercepted two Patrick Mahomes passes in the AFC title game and one Derek Carr pass in the wild card round (as well as forcing and recovering a fumble). If those three games are any indication, we can project two or so turnovers from this Bengals defense.
Turnovers may be harder to come by on the other side. Burrow threw 14 interceptions in the regular season, but just two in the three playoff wins that got the Bengals to the Super Bowl. Luckily, it seems likely that we'll need no more than one from him (and perhaps zero, should the Bengals lose a fumble). The juice on this line at -130 is a relatively hefty price to pay, but I still see value. This game has a good chance of being a defensive battle, one that sees this over cash with ease.
