Buffalo Bills vs Los Angeles Rams Player Prop Picks: Hammer This Allen Robinson Prop

The kids are back in school, and the temperatures are starting to drop, which can only mean one thing: football is back. After a busy offseason with confusing retirements and big trades, it's safe to say there are some questions many football fans can't wait to have answered, with one of them being how the Rams will look fresh off a Super Bowl victory. They still have many key pieces that brought the postseason run but have some new faces in the receiving room that I am eager to see. I am targeting one of them in this week's matchup, as it is someone I feel is flying under the radar. That player is Allen Robinson.

Los Angeles Rams vs Buffalo Bills Prediction

Allen Robinson has never been in talks as a great receiver, but the 29-year-old is in his ninth season in the NFL and has played for some pretty bad teams. Robinson had a four-year stint in Jacksonville with the Jaguars, the team who drafted him, and then played for four years in Chicago on the Bears. His quarterback last year was Justin Fields, so that's a pretty good explanation for why he has seemed to fly under the radar. However, Robinson is getting the biggest upgrades under center of any receiver in 2022 by switching from Justin Fields to Matthew Stafford. A dramatic upgrade under center means a chance for Robinson to show off what he can do.

Robinson is expected to be WR two behind Cooper Kupp for the time being while Van Jefferson is injured. Even when Jefferson is healthy, I expect to see Robinson used quite a bit, but the injury only amplifies his usage in this game specifically. Robert Woods played second-fiddle to Kupp last season and had an excellent season before an injury sidelined him. Woods was the 13th highest fantasy receiver at the time of his injury. It doesn't take a genius to see why; opposing teams put their best cornerback on Kupp and even doubled the receiver on many plays, opening 1-on-1 opportunities for the next guy in line. Last season, that was Woods and then Odell Beckham Jr., and this season it will be Allen Robinson and Van Jefferson.

Robinson also has a unique opportunity to face a rookie cornerback for most of this game. The Bills' best cornerback, Tre'Davious White, is injured, meaning rookie Kaiir Elam will play tonight. The first-round pick out of Florida was impressive in college, but he will now face the task of going one-on-one with the veteran Robinson in many snaps. Dane Jackson will most likely be lining up across Kupp for most of the game and drawing over Micah Hyde as well, meaning Robinson will have his fair share of opportunities, especially on early downs. This is a young Bills secondary going up against one of the most high-powered offenses in the league with Cooper Kupp, Allen Robinson, and Tyler Higbee, so it's safe to say we can expect some big plays tonight. Robinson will have the best matchup of the three against the rookie CB for many snaps.

Robinson's receiving line for tonight is only 62.5 on Fanduel right now, and it is higher on almost every other book. Robinson's receptions line is heavily juiced to go over 4.5. I think Robinson only needs four receptions to hit this line because he could burn the rookie and have a few big plays. I'm taking the over, as I expect Robinson to have a big game tonight in his debut with the Rams.
