The NFL is back tonight and as usual, they start off with the Super Bowl champs in a possible Super Bowl preview and a game that we might have been seconds away from seeing last year in the Super Bowl. The end of the Bills-Chiefs game was electric and that might have been the best game of the year last season. We are sure the Bills want to prove that they are the team to beat this year, and the Rams want to prove that they didn't take a step down from last year's championship team. We will look at tonight's total and give you a bonus prop to boot as we start off the season with some fireworks.

Los Angeles Rams vs. Buffalo Bills Prediction

We could talk about the preseason but neither of these teams cared they didn't want any injuries and the proof is the Bills losing 21-0 to Carolina as that would never happen in the regular season. We saw the real Bills team the week before when they put up 42 on Denver but again it was preseason.

Let's talk about the regular season. The Bills last year in the playoffs scored 47 and 36 points showing how their offense was clicking. On top of that, they had three games of over 40 points, six games of over 30 points, and four games of over 26 points. That means with the playoffs, that about 75% of this team's games they scored 26 or more points which is a good number for tonight's game as the Bills will need at least that many to win.

The Bills are a passing team and the proof is in the props for tonight as the props for the rushing tonight are Singletary and Josh Allen and they combine for only 80 yards total. There is no need to throw more stats out the Bills are built to score and if they want to win tonight they have to do just that.

The Rams didn't look like the favorites last year until they made a few trades and one of those guys Von Miller is now on the opposing sideline so that should be fun to watch. The Rams just like the Bills are not built to run as their props on their two running backs is a total of only 72 yards and Stafford ran for 43 yards total last year. You can't blame them. Who would want to run when you have all-world Cooper Kupp, an invigorated Allen Robinson who finally has a Quarterback, a great TE, etc?

Sure this Rams team has Aaron Donald and Jalen Ramsey but this team can and does score, proven by the fact they scored over 30 twice in the playoffs, and over 30  points seven times in the regular season. Only two times all season did they score less than twenty points and that was back to back against the good 49ers and Titans defenses. With this much offense, there is only one thing to do tonight! We think you know where we are going with this.

We can throw trends, numbers, and the warm weather at you and we do have a 60% opening week situation on the over. We have the Bills in a great over-spot on the road. We have the Rams going over all of September last year but the bottom line is the kickers aren't winning this game and if one team scores a TD then the other team knows it must do the same. We are looking at seven touchdowns to win tonight with a field goal here and there. We feel we will get those seven touchdowns (28-24) and maybe even a special teams or a defensive touchdown, but with Diggs and Kupp possibly busting one at any time there is only one way to play this game.

We are taking the OVER 51.5 available at FanDuel currently as we see which one of these teams gets to 30 first. As a bonus, the Rams had 41 passing touchdowns last season and with OBJ gone, Jefferson out due to injury, and Robinson a new target we feel Stafford is going to be looking for one man tonight and that is, of course, WR Cooper Kupp to score a touchdown. Kupp scored 16 of them in the regular season and 6 in the playoffs averaging over a touchdown a game. It's hard to pass up Kupp -130 to score a TD tonight.

Take the free money on the prop, take the over and let's start this NFL season with a possible Super Bowl preview and the fireworks of what these teams do best: SCORE and lots of it.
