The Buffalo Bills really come into this season with a lot of hype behind their name. In most sportsbooks, they are the favorite to win the Super Bowl. They loaded up their roster even more than last season. Buffalo added pieces on both sides of the ball. On offense, they added Jamison Crowder and James Cook. On defense, they added Von Miller. These pieces will really elevate this team to the next level.
I have been eyeing this matchup for weeks. The Rams come in off a Super Bowl victory. They lost Von Miller on defense but gained Bobby Wagner and lost Odell Beckham on offense. But they did gain Allen Robinson who in my mind is a very underrated wide receiver.
Los Angeles Rams vs Buffalo Bills Prediction
This is the first game of the year and it's going to be the game everyone will be glued to the TV to watch. The one thing I have to say is, I personally don't think anyone is going to be able to stop this Bills offense when they're clicking. The one drive I got to watch in the preseason for the Bills of their first team and they looked solid. I know it's preseason, but this offense is for real, and I feel this defense is going to cause some turnovers to set this offense up well. Matthew Stafford in primetime games last year was horrendous. Multiple times he even threw a pick 6 in those games. I can see that Buffalo pass rush giving Stafford some problems and making him make some bad decisions.
The play I'm really eying is Buffalo's first-half team total over 13.5. I really can see the Bills scoring two touchdowns easily in the first half. Yes, I know the Rams were a top 5 defense last year, but the Bills were also a top 5 offense on the other end. My theory on this is Buffalo's offense got better while the Rams defense stayed the same. I really feel Matt Stafford will make a bonehead throw and give the Bills easy scoring opportunities to cover this team total.
