After hitting his (+487) parlay on Thursday night's NFL season opener, handicapper Stuart Durst is back this Sunday to kick off the rest of the games in Week 1 with another massive parlay for us.
ANALYSIS

NFL Sunday Week 1 Parlay: Don't Miss This Expert's (+1297) Parlay for Sunday

After a successful Thursday night football parlay, we’re going with another alt-line combo with two players I think aren’t getting enough attention. While hitting the parlays is great, remember these should be smaller allocations, straight bets are where the money is made. These individually have some pretty large odds, so mix and match as you best see fit.

NFL Week 1 Parlay

Elijah Mitchell 100+ Yards/TD & Derrick Henry 100+ Yards/TD (+1297) (Bet $100 to Win $1297)

The San Francisco 49ers were already one of the most run-heavy teams in football, now adding mobile quarterback Trey Lance into the mix is expected to solidify that even more this season. Mitchell had an incredible rookie season, averaging 87 rushing yards over 11 games. Even crazier, in games where the 49ers won by 7 or more points, Mitchell recorded 91, 104, 119, 133, and 137 rushing yards. They are a heavy favorite against a weak Bears rush defense, just as they were last season when he tore them up for 137 yards and a touchdown. Mitchell has clearly been the bell-cow back on this 49ers team when he's healthy, I really don't think we see either Jeff Wilson or TDP play much of a role in this game. This number doesn't reflect the fact that when he's on the field, this is his backfield.

I feel like I don’t need to tell you how good Derrick Henry is, but he’s not getting the attention he deserves. Henry got injured after only 8 regular season games last year but averaged 117 rush yards on 27.4 carries during that span. The Titans also have a very depleted WR room, with AJ Brown being traded in the off-season. In response, they drafted Treylon Burks, who has received negative reports. Because the Robert Woods, Nick Westbrook, and Treylon Burks tandem isn’t scary, the game plan likely once again revolves around Henry. The Giants struggled versus the run last season, allowing 4.5 YPC. They didn’t upgrade their rush defense much, and Kayvon Thibodeaux and Azeez Ojulari are both Doubtful. Henry has absolutely dominated as a heavy favorite in his career, I expect that to continue in a positive game script.
