Seattle Seahawks vs Denver Broncos Prediction

Tonight, we get Russell Wilson back in action against his former team in front of the twelves in Seattle. The atmosphere should be electric, with Wilson returning to town wearing a new uniform, facing the team he led for 10 years, including a Super Bowl victory in 2014.

I have to think Pete Carroll is going to stick with his roots and run the ball as early and often as possible. Sure, the game script will determine that, but if there’s anyone who draws up a defense against Russ, it would be his former head coach Pete Carroll.

The line has moved around a bit as far as the spread is concerned, sitting at -7 for a while, and now back to -6.5.

I get that the Seahawks will try to run the ball, but I see difficult matchups across the board for them to open the season. They are starting two rookie offensive tackles, both from air-raid systems in college, which might make successfully running the ball and draining time off the clock much more challenging.

I was tempted to take +7 Seattle until the line dropped, so I’m going with the better team tonight to cover the spread. This line feels a bit like bait, but I'm avoiding too much overthinking in this one.

Seattle Seahawks vs Denver Broncos Pick

Pick: Denver Broncos -6.5 (-106) (Bet $106 to win $100)
