Can we Trust Tee Higgins against the Dallas Cowboys this week? Gray Gutfreund is here with his favorite player prop pick from this game.

Cincinnati Bengals vs. Dallas Cowboys Player Prop Pick: Trust Tee Higgins on Sunday

The Cincinnati Bengals nearly escaped Week 1's sloppiest contest with a win over the Pittsburgh Steelers. But, they fell just short in overtime and are looking to bounce back in Dallas for Week 2.

Tee Higgins left early in Week 1's loss due to a mild concussion, but all signs point to the star receiver participating fully in their Week 2 matchup against the Cowboys. Higgins has an awesome rapport with Joe Burrow and is an absolute stud of a wideout. With some value on Cincinnati and one of their most talented players, I'm going to trust Tee Higgins this Sunday.

Cincinnati Bengals vs. Dallas Cowboys Player Prop Pick: Trust Tee Higgins on Sunday

Tee Higgins Over 59.5 Receiving Yards (-110) (Bet $110 to win $100)

*Odds Available at DraftKings and BetMGM at Time of Publishing*

The Bengals enter Sunday's contest favored by a touchdown on the road. This is a get-right game for Joe Burrow and company, and it will be quite the surprise if the reigning AFC champions don't come to play in Dallas.

Aside from Burrow, this starts with Cincinnati's unbelievable WR duo: Ja'Marr Chase and Tee Higgins. And, one thing I love about this prop is Tee Higgins' workload in comparison to Ja'Marr's. The trio played 14 games together - here were the receivers' results in these contests:

  • Ja'Marr Chase: 110 targets, 69 receptions, 1287 receiving yards
  • Tee Higgins: 110 targets, 74 receptions, 1091 receiving yards

So, to nobody's surprise, Chase is the more explosive receiver. However, Higgins has actually seen the same number of targets from Burrow when he's shared the field with Chase. So, when Chase's receptions line is listed at 6.5, while sportsbooks drop Tee Higgins' lines at 4.5 receptions, it makes you think twice.

Higgins averaged a terrific 77.9 receiving yards per game in his 14 games with Burrow and Chase in 2021. And, more importantly, he's developed an unbelievable connection with Burrow for a couple of years now. In the Clemson product's career, he has finished with 60+ yards in 15 of his 23 full games with Joe Burrow. Higgins has also averaged 74.8 YPG with Joey B at quarterback for the Bengals.

The Cowboys also present a nice, burnable matchup for the Bengals in Week 2. Just last week, Dallas gave up 71 yards to Mike Evans and 69 yards to Julio Jones. The 23-year-old wideout is being undervalued this week, and I'm trusting Cincy's 6-foot-4 receiver to have a big day against the Cowboys.
