Green Bay Packers vs. Chicago Bears Prediction
Is there any team that looked worse than the Green Bay Packers last week? Is there a team that got luckier than the Chicago Bears in the rain? Well, we will find out today if last week and this week matter or if last week was just that one week of bad Green Bay and lucky Chicago. We are going to look at the Packers and see if they will come out mad tonight and get going early after last week's embarrassing performance and a pathetic seven points of total offense.
It all went bad for Green Bay last week when Rodgers threw a beautiful 75-yard touchdown that rookie Wide Receiver Christian Watson dropped. This week Rodgers gets back Allen Lazard (expect a big game from him tonight for you prop guys) and trust us he will look for him as much as he used to look for Davante Adams. Green Bay scored seven points the whole game (it was ugly if you didn't watch as we did with the Vikings as one of our best plays last week).
It was embarrassing as it gets for Rodgers and this offense with still a few stars on it in Aaron Jones, AJ Dillon, etc. The best medicine for Green Bay and Rodgers is the Bears as we all know the "I still own you" comment and his 61 career touchdowns. In the last two years, he has 15 touchdowns against them so asking Rodgers to do what we need tonight isn't much. Green Bay has put up 45, 24, 35, 41, and 21 in the last five against the Bears, which is over thirty-three a game.
The last time the Packers tasted victory was January 2nd against the Vikings (that's a long time for Rodgers and the Packers). We feel Rodgers is chomping at the bit to come out early in the first half and establish his dominance over Chicago and get in the end zone on the first drive. The Bears are in a tough spot and the Packers are in a must-win, must-start fast situation and we will trust Rodgers and Lazard and the other weapons to look much better this week.
Your play is to take the Packers OVER 13.5 Team Total for the first half only. As we mentioned, the Packers will drive and score on the first possession which is just a must for them tonight and that leaves us with one more score for the rest of the first half. Green Bay is mad they will come out and score early and we don't want to worry about the full game or if they run the clock with Jones and Dillon in the second half and kill the clock as we think this game is over early.
