Their offense was stifled by the Bills' defense and there were a lot of questions about the Ram's running game as Cam Akers was seldom featured in week 1.

On the other side in this game, we have the visiting Atlanta Falcons who played extremely hard in week 1 and should have come away with a straight-up win over the Saints but they still covered ATS rather easily. In that game, The Falcons ran the ball very effectively with Marcus Mariota and Cordarelle Patterson, but I do not see the Falcons having the same success on the ground in this matchup.
The Rams have a stout defensive line led by Aaron Donald and are typically one of the best teams in the NFL at stopping the run. I also do not see Marcus Mariota lighting it up through the air as he is not a traditional pocket passer and the Falcons also do not have a true number 1 wide receiver to win matchups on the outside.
I also fully expect Matthew Stafford to play at a higher level this week. He did not look like himself in week 1 and had been dealing with some elbow injury concerns coming out of training camp, which might have hindered him in that opening game against the Bills. I fully expect the Rams as a whole to start this game with max intensity and come out strong, so I am rolling with the Rams 1H -5.5 at -115 for 1U as one of my most confident NFL Picks of the Day.
