After a monster Cooper Kupp Week to open the season, I’m not expecting him to slow down. Kupp remains essential to the Los Angeles Rams offense, and it’s unlikely the Atlanta Falcons are able to get in his way in Week 2.
The Rams are hosting the Falcons today, and they’re looking to avenge their loss in the NFL’s season opener. Kupp and the Rams have had 10 days to rest up for this contest, and Matthew Stafford’s favorite target should be lethal as ever against Atlanta.
Buffalo Bills vs. Tennessee Titans Prediction
Josh Allen + Stefon Diggs Same Game Parlay (-125) (Bet $125 to win $100)
*Odds available at DraftKings at time of publishing*
Leg 1: Josh Allen 2+ Passing Touchdowns
Leg 2: Josh Allen 25+ Pass Attempts
Leg 3: Stefon Diggs 5+ Receptions
Josh Allen and Stefon Diggs are in their third season together, and they've been nothing short of spectacular over the last couple of seasons. They might even be the deadliest QB-WR connection in football right now.
Since 2020, here's where Allen ranks among the league's quarterbacks:
- 4th in passing touchdowns
- 4th in passing yards
- 4th in pass attempts
- 4th in completions
He's firmly in the conversation as one of the NFL's elite QBs, and he has an elite wideout alongside him. Here's where Diggs ranks among wide receivers since 2020:
- 3rd in targets
- 3rd in receptions
- 4th in receiving yards
- 7th in receiving touchdowns
Allen looks for Diggs quite often, and that should remain the case this evening. Diggs averages 10 targets per game and 7 receptions per game as a Buffalo Bill, so 5 receptions are not too much to ask for.
Diggs has at least 5 catches in 28 of his 34 games since arriving in Buffalo. He had 8 receptions on 9 targets against the Rams last week, and it's going to be quite difficult for Tennessee to stop him tonight. And, he's done extraordinarily well against Tennessee in particular. The former Vikings WR finished with 9 receptions on 11 targets against the Titans in 2021. This followed his 10-reception performance on 16 targets in Nashville back in 2020.
The Titans have an extraordinarily inexperienced secondary this season, and Diggs should take full advantage in primetime. Plus, with Gabe Davis nursing an ankle injury, Allen may lean on his top target even more.
As for Allen, he threw 25+ passes and 2+ touchdowns in 13 of his 17 games last season. In 2020, he hit in 13 of 16 games. After going 26 for 31 with 3 touchdowns in the season opener, he's hit these marks in 27 of 34 games since Diggs arrived.
Much like his partner in crime, Allen has had his fair share of success against the Titans. He went 35 of 47 with 3 passing touchdowns against Tennessee last season, after going 26 of 41 with a pair of passing scores back in 2020.
With clear weather on the forecast in Orchard Park, NY tonight, the Bills should lean on Josh Allen and Stefon Diggs all night. Look for the elite duo to torch the Titans on ESPN.
