The Vikings looked fantastic in week 1 with a blowout win over the Packers by a score of 23-7 in a game they controlled most of the way. The Vikings were extremely impressive in all facets of the game as Cook was cooking in the backfield and the Viking's downfield passing game was electric as Justin Jefferson racked up nine catches for 184 yards and two touchdowns.

Philadelphia Eagles vs. Minnesota Vikings Prediction
In tonight's matchup, the Vikings will take on the Eagles who have a lot of expectations this year behind second-year starter, Jalen hurts. The Eagles got off to the season with a strong start but were not particularly impressive on the defensive side of the ball. They got out to a huge lead and at one point were leading the Lions by a score of 38-21 before allowing two garbage time TDs which made the game a bit closer. The Eagles allowed only 205 passing yards which was impressive, but they allowed the lions to run wild as they amassed 181 rushing yards, which is even more concerning that the Lions were in a negative game script for much of the game and were forced to pass the ball as they were behind by so much.
D'Andre Swift had a lot of success as he rushed for 144 yards on just 15 carries and also had 3 receptions for 31 yards. Swift averaged nearly 10 yards a carry and I think that will be extremely problematic for the Eagles in this game. Dalvin Cook has dealt with a lot of injuries in his career, but he is healthy now and looks primed for a solid season. He had a fairly productive game against the Packers as he averaged 4.5 yards per carry and totaled 90 yards in the game. A lot of those yards came in the second half as the Vikings were winning and were trying to kill the clock, but the Vikings were simply taking advantage of their matchups as they fed Justin Jefferson early and deferred a bit more to the passing game.
Tonight, the hope is that the Vikings recognize their advantage is on the offensive line with a strong running game and give Cook opportunities to move the sticks and control possession. The Vikings are now in a much tougher environment to play, and I have to think that controlling possession, establishing the run, and consistently moving the sticks will be a priority for Kevin O'Connell and the Vikings offense. With that being said, I am rolling with Dalvin Cook OVER 69.5 Rushing Yards -115 (DK) as one of my most confident NFL Picks of the Night and my favorite angle on this matchup between the Vikings and Eagles on MNF.
