Terrible weather ahead for the Thursday Night Football showdown between conference rivals, the Cleveland Browns and the Pittsburgh Steelers, but that doesn’t mean we can’t use that to our advantage.
TNF Bankroll Builder (+107) (Bet $100 to Win $107)
Nick Chubb 60+ Alternate rushing yards
Nick Chubb has been an absolute workhorse while the Browns await the return of Deshaun Watson at QB, racking up 17 carries for 87 yards in Week 1, only to follow that up with 22 carries for 141 yards and three touchdowns against the New York Jets in Week 2. In fact, Nick Chubb only failed to hit 60+ rushing yards in 4 of the team’s 17 games last season, so let's run with this.
Pittsburgh Steelers Alternate spread (+14.5)
This game has the lowest projected total of any on the slate this weekend, so points are valuable when the game currently sits at 37.5. Heavy winds and rain during the day should have an impact on this game, and I don’t see either side running away with this one.
Alternate Total under 47.5 pts
To be fair, I played the under at 38.5 points, so I feel comfortable in the game staying under this inflated alternate line of 47.5 points as well. Again, terrible weather coupled with the fact that the Steelers possess one of the slowest offenses in the league plays a large role in this. It's also an AFC North matchup, which is typically lower-scoring games.
