Both the Indianapolis Colts and Tennessee Titans picked up their first win of the season in Week 3. Kade Kimble takes a look at which team will continue their success in Week 4 while analyzing the odds.

Indianapolis Colts vs. Tennessee Titans Prediction, Pick, Odds: Which Team Will Carry Momentum From Week 3?

The Indianapolis Colts came into this season with expectations of being a solid team, then they quickly let that down with a tie against the Houston Texans in Week One and being shut out by the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week Two. The turnaround for them in Week 3 was huge, as they upset the Kansas City Chiefs.

For the Tennessee Titans, after suffering two tough losses in Week One and Week Two, they finally came away with a win against the Las Vegas Raiders. They took a huge loss to the Buffalo Bills, losing 41-7 in Week Two, so taking down the Raiders was a good turnaround as well.

Both teams finally picked up their first win and will now be looking to move forward with momentum and get a win streak started.

Indianapolis Colts vs. Tennessee Titans Prediction

This quarterback matchup is slightly underwhelming, as it’s Matt Ryan and the Colts up against Ryan Tannehill and the Titans. While it’s not a flashy matchup, it could come as a very important part of this matchup. Neither offense has been able to find consistency, as the Colts were shut out in Week Two, and the Titans were a Derrick Henry touchdown away from a shutout in Week Two.

On paper, the running back matchup of Jonathan Taylor and Derrick Henry looks like one for the ages, as the two were two of the top running backs last season. This season, neither back has been able to find their rhythm and dominate like they were able to last season. Taylor’s best game came against the Texans in a tie game.

Michael Pittman Jr. is a big impact player, and not having him in Week 2 served hugely. He’s been the Colts' top receiver this season, and on paper has had the best season of all the wide receivers in this matchup despite only playing two games.

Neither of these defenses has looked incredible, but the Titans have been one step behind, allowing their opponents to put up an average of 415.7 yards per game in their three games. The Colts haven’t been the best either, allowing 322.7 yards per game. The Titans' run defense has been worse than the Colts, which could prove huge for Jonathan Taylor.

Since this matchup comes with two offenses who’ve been unable to find their stride, one playmaker could be a game-changer in this matchup. The Colts likely have the most potential when it comes to having a playmaker, as they’ve got both Jonathan Taylor and Michael Pittman Jr. Between these two teams, the biggest bright spot in two underwhelming seasons is the Colts' defense, which could limit the Titans opportunities to pull out a win.

While the Colts are the 3-point favorites, both teams are still looking to find their rhythm and build off a Week 3 win. By the looks of it, the Colts seem to be in a better position to find their stride since Pittman Jr. is now healthy and Matt Ryan has his number one option. They also upset a much better team than the Titans did, as the Titans scraped past a winless team, while the Colts defeated a Super Bowl contending team in the Chiefs.

The over/under for total points is set at 42.5, which doesn’t feel like a safe pick to take the under. With both teams coming off a win, this game could see more touchdowns than either of these teams has seen yet this season. More than total points, I like the Colts with the 3-point favorites.
