Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs. Kansas City Chiefs Prediction
The Chiefs played very well in their opening two games of the season but struggled last week against a desperate Colts squad. In that game, the Chiefs struggled to move the ball, struggled on 3rd down, and turned the ball over twice as well. Things will get no easier for the Chiefs here either as the Bucs have one of the top defenses in the NFL.
The Bucs also come into his game with a 2-1 record and realistically should be 3-0 but they were extremely short handed against the Packers last weekend and just couldn’t muster enough offense. Now the Bucs gets Mike Evans back from suspension and should be much healthier across the board.
The key matchup in this game to me is Mahomes against the Bucs defense. The Bucs do a great job of stopping the run and getting pressure on the quarterback and we saw in Week 1 how they made life very difficult for Dak Prescott and the high-powered Cowboys offense. I also have not been very impressed with the Chiefs defense as a whole and think Brady and the Bucs offense will be able to exploit them.
With that said, I am rolling with the Bucs 1H ML at -118 for 1U as I think the Bucs will get off to a good start in this game and take a lead into halftime.
