Denver Broncos vs. Indianapolis Colts Same-Game Parlay: Trust Michael Pittman on Thursday Night Football

Broncos vs. Colts Start Time, Where to Watch, and Odds

  • Date: October 6, 2022
  • Game Time: 8:15 pm ET
  • Where to Watch: Prime Video

I don't like either side in this game too much, but I was able to cook up a 3-leg same-game parlay that I think has a lot of value. Let's break it down.

Thursday Night Football Prediction

FIRST LEG: Michael Pittman 40+ Receiving yards

Michael Pittman has really emerged as a top receiver in this Colts offense and while the Colts have struggled as a whole, Pittman has been able to put up some solid numbers. He amassed just under 200 receiving yards on 17 catches in the first 2 games and more importantly, he received 22 targets in those games, so he is quickly becoming Matt Ryan's favorite target. Pittman is also coming off his worst game of the year as he was only able to notch 31 receiving yards last week. In a game where the Colts should be trailing and in a negative game script and trailing, I fully expect Pittman to get 8-10 targets and to top 40 receiving yards for the first leg of this same game parlay.

SECOND LEG: Courtland Sutton 40+ Receiving Yards

Much like Pittman, Courtland Sutton has emerged as the number one target in Denver with the new addition of star quarterback Russell Wilson. In 4 games with Wilson at QB, Sutton has topped 72, 122, 97, and 52 yards and has a large target share in their offense. He has had at least 7 targets in each game and topped 4 catches in each game as well. The Colts are dealing with some major injuries in their linebacking and secondary core so I think Russell Wilson will have ample time to cook and find Sutton for at least 40 yards in tonight's game.

THIRD LEG: Alternate Total Under 57.5

Both of these teams have had trouble scoring in the early going of their respective seasons. The Broncos have ranked near the bottom of the league in Red Zone offense and the Colts were more recently shut out by the Jaguars in a blowout 24-0 loss. The Colts are a team who loves to run the ball with Jonathon Taylor and while he will not play tonight, I do not think they will switch up their entire offensive strategy. The Colts know that to win this game against a solid Denver defense in a tough environment they have to control the ball and control field possession. That starts with running the ball and staying on track with the down and distance to open up plays later in the game with play-action. I think we see a slower-paced game and this Alt Total on the under is a great juice reducer on the main 2 legs of Pittman and Sutton.

Broncos vs. Colts Prediction

3-Leg Same Game Parlay (-119): (Bet $119 to win $100)

  • Pittman 40+ Receiving Yards
  • Sutton 40+ Yards Receiving Yards
  • Alternate Total Under 57.5
