The New York Giants are off to an impressive 4-1 to start this season, and their biggest change was bringing in their new head coach Brian Daboll. They’ve found ways to win, whereas their older squads and coaches seemed to find ways to lose.

For the Baltimore Ravens, they’ve been solid this season, but they’ve lost two of their games in a heartbreaking comeback fashion. The two teams have been solid, and the Giants have gotten the upper hand on the season, while there is no doubt the Ravens are the better team.

Giants vs. Raven prediction

The Baltimore Ravens have been one of the better-scoring teams in the league, and their offense, fueled by Lamar Jackson, has been incredible. They’re averaging 27.6 points per game. The New York Giants offense is averaging just 20.6 points per game and will have to play above their talent if they’re going to want to play with the Ravens offense.

Speaking of Jackson, he’s thrown for 12 touchdowns and five interceptions through the five games the Ravens have played. He’s thrown for 1,067 yards and has run for 374 yards and two touchdowns. He’s been their main source of offense in each aspect of the game. Safe to say the Giants’ best bet in this game will limit Jackson’s production in either aspect of the game.

The Giant’s offense has not been fueled by their passing game, as Daniel Jones has thrown for 848 yards with three touchdowns and two interceptions on the season. Slowing the Giant’s pass game won’t be a large challenge for the Ravens, but they will face trouble when defending the run game.

Saquon Barkley has looked amazing in the run game this year, as he’s picked up 533 yards through six games and has scored three touchdowns. In their last game against the Green Bay Packers, Barkley ran for 70 yards and picked up a touchdown on only 13 attempts. He will be the biggest factor in this game, as he’s the Giant’s best chance at playing with the Ravens on offense.

The Raven’s defense allows 108 yards per game, and they’ll have to limit that if they want their best chance at using this game to win big. If they can jump on the Giants and build a big lead, they’ll have to finish the game strongly, but it will be a step in the right direction for the team. They’re currently six-point favorites, but that relies on their defensive production to let their offense build a lead. They allow 413.8 yards per game, so they will have to bring that number down in this matchup.

The Giants’ defense has been solid this season, allowing only 18.6 yards per game, and this will be their best chance to keep this game close or even see a win. Both teams have played plenty of close games this season, and the Giants should be able to keep this game close.

The Giants are more than capable of keeping this game close, if not sneaking out a win, as they’ll be able to focus plenty on Lamar Jackson.
