Ravens vs. Browns Prediction
Cleveland had lost four straight games to Baltimore until Week 14 last season, when they pulled off a 24-22 win over Ravens backup quarterback Tyler Huntley. Lamar Jackson dealt with injuries last season but he's been on a mission during the 2022 season, racking up three games with at least four touchdowns against the New York Jets, Miami Dolphins, and New England Patriots. The collective team has not been able to control their quick leads, allowing opponents to score and swing momentum away from the Ravens.
Cleveland sits at 2-4 but they are only one game out of first-place in the AFC North. The Browns relied on a walk-off game-winning field goal from rookie Cade York to beat the lowly Carolina Panthers in Week 1, while blowing a double-digit lead at home to Joe Flacco and the Jets the following week. Mitch Trubisky's final start in Week 3 was the last time the Browns won a game, where they rushed for 171 yards. Since then, Cleveland has managed to lose several close games and a blowout to the Patriots.
Both of these AFC North opponents will be desperate for a win coming off of tough losses. Will the Ravens continue to struggle holding onto leads? Or will Cleveland rely on Nick Chubb to salvage to end their losing slump?
Let's look at the players with the best odds to hit on an anytime touchdown scorer prop bet in this Week 7 AFC North tilt.
Ravens vs. Browns Best Anytime TD Scorer Picks
Mark Andrews (-105)
After being tagged as questionable on Baltimore's injury report throughout the week, star tight end Mark Andrews will be available without an injury designation against Cleveland. Andrews historically dominates the Browns. He's scored at least two touchdowns each season since 2019, including his last touchdown with Jackson against the Browns in Week 12 last season. The fifth-year tight end is already off to a hot start this season, racking up five touchdowns from Jackson in the red zone. Andrews has low odds for a reason, but it's still good value to tail ahead of Sunday's matchup in Baltimore.
Lamar Jackson (+125)
It's been a couple of weeks since we've seen Jackson find the end zone with his legs but he has two games against Cleveland with two rushing touchdowns. We all know how dynamic of a playmaker Jackson is in open space and the Browns' run defense is ranked 24th in the league. J.K. Dobbins has already been ruled out for Week 7, opening up more opportunities for Jackson to earn designed runs and use his speed to hit the edge to finish with a touchdown. Cleveland is allowing 27.2 points per game, tied for the fourth-highest amount in the league. Jackson should have a monster game and finish with at least one rushing touchdown at +125, which is fantastic value.
David Njoku (+285)
The long play in this series of anytime touchdown scorers is very reasonable. Cleveland's sixth-year tight end David Njoku has been steadily carving out a role in the passing attack, which has become a necessity in recent games. Baltimore's run defense is its strength, ranked eighth in the league, meaning Jacoby Brissett may have to air it out more than head coach Kevin Stefanski would prefer. This quite literally plays right into Njoku's hands. He has 16 regular season touchdowns in his career, including three against the Ravens. A touchdown pass bounced off of Njoku's hands last week against New England, so he'll have his opportunities in the red zone against Baltimore's 24th-ranked pass defense. +285 is too good to ignore, especially considering Njoku's consistency to score against the Ravens historically.
