Led by MVP candidate Jalen Hurts, Philadelphia has one of the most balanced and stacked offenses in football. They have what is arguably the best offensive line in football, a stacked receiving corps, and plenty of talent out of the backfield next to Hurts.
This talent, in addition to excellent early play-calling from coach Nick Sirianni, has led to Philly ranking as the best first-half offense in the NFL. The Eagles are scoring a ridiculous 19.2 1st-Half points per game this season. For reference, the next closest team is the Buffalo Bills at 16.4 PTS.
Philadelphia has also managed to score at least 14 points in 12 of their 13 games this season. In their last three contests, the Eagles have scored 27, 21, and 24 in just the first half of these games. They come out aggressive every week, and it feels like their run game and their passing attack are each unstoppable.
If you weren't already sold on this bet, let me tell you about this Chicago defense. For starters, it's the 3rd-worst scoring defense in the NFL, allowing 25.6 points per game in 2022. However, their defense is even weaker if we zoom in on what they've done in the first half of games.
The Bears are allowing 15.4 1st Half PPG, the most of any defense in the NFL. They've also let up at least 14 first-half points in 9 of 13 games, including 6 of their last 7.
Philly starts games better than any other team in the league, and the Bears probably won't be to get in the way of the NFL's top offense. Look for the Birds to continue to start games strong.
