Eagles vs. 49ers Prediction

DeVonta Smith 70+ Receiving Yards (+106) Bet $100 to collect $206. FanDuel has the best odds, click here

We're at FanDuel for this one but as always, if you're looking for a standard line, shop around. It just makes sense. Currently, over on DraftKings, they're posting 66.5 (-115), which is pretty sweet. It's better than what we can get at FanDuel, which is 67.5 (-114). Of course, it's only a yard, but every yard counts. Still, I don't think the yard will matter since I'm going with a ladder. If 70+ isn't enough for you, then go higher since FanDuel has 80+ (+154), 90+ (+225), 100+ (+320), 110+ (+470), or 125+ (+750).

This one is about the player and the situation. For starters, Smith is a No. 1 receiver in the NFL. He just happens to play on the same team as AJ Brown. Still, his target share is legit, so he still gets his. Over his last seven games, he hasn't finished with fewer than 61 yards. That's not bad, considering the Eagles have been able to run all over teams recently. That kills receiving production, yet the Philadelphia target tree is so short that the main guys still eat. That's beautiful.

If I had to guess, I'd say the Philadelphia rushing production will be down this week, given the opponent. The San Francisco 49ers allowed the fewest rushing yards to running backs in the NFL this season, while only four teams gave up fewer rushing yards to quarterbacks. I think they will try to make Jalen Hurts a passer which is actually alright by me. On the season, only five teams in the NFL gave up more receiving yards to the wide receiver position than San Francisco. At some point Sunday, either by game script or the inability to run, the Eagles will need to put the ball in the air. It's science. When that happens, this will cash and make us look like geniuses.
