Kansas City Chiefs vs. Cincinnati Bengals Prediction
The Bengals' defense has done a solid job lately. In their last five games, playoffs included, they’ve allowed only 16.8 points per game. They’ll have a tough challenge with Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs, but Mahomes’ injury may make the Bengals’ defense life easy.
Joe Burrow and his track record against the Chiefs are quite compelling, too. His offensive line is coming off an incredible tone, despite three starting linemen being out with injuries. If Burrow can get similar protection and help from his run game, it will be hard for the Chiefs to match the Bengals' offense.
Now, obviously, in favor of the Chiefs is experience. Sure, the Bengals made a Super Bowl appearance last season. The Chiefs have won it, and they’ve faced more adversity. They’ll play in a way that allows Mahomes to stay grounded and get his weapons the ball.
This game will be a game of possession and holding onto it, so I like the Bengals to take a low-scoring win over the Chiefs to make their second straight Super Bowl appearance.

Through adversity, in the biggest challenge for the Chiefs, Mahomes needs Kelce more than ever. Again, with Mahomes hurt, Kelce will have to make plays for him. Andy Reid will draw up plays that make life easy for an already great duo. It’s not far off for Kelce to make the most significant plays on the biggest stages, so that nothing will be different this weekend. Not to mention, Kelce has found the end zone in two of his last three games against the Bengals. If anyone on the Chiefs is going to dissect the Bengals' solid defense, count on it to be Kelce.

No matter how hard any defense tries to stop Chase, it doesn’t happen. He’s going to burn each defense, no matter how strong. He’s pulled down a touchdown in each of his postseason appearances. As I mentioned, the most significant players make the biggest plays on the biggest stage. The Chiefs aren’t the best at stopping touchdowns through the passing game, primarily to wide receivers. All stars align for Chase to continue his already incredible postseason.

Against the Jaguars in the Chiefs' only playoff game thus far, Toney was targeted seven times and rushed for 14 yards on one attempt. The touches are going to be there, and, again, playmakers are going to have to make plays for the Chiefs. It’s that simple. Toney is a playmaker, and it going to be able to extend plays and make Mahomes' stat line look much better than it should. Acquired by the Chiefs early in the season, Toney has slowly improved his play and production and was used most in the postseason. This will be a massive test for the young wide receiver, so he’ll have to step up and prove he can be a solid weapon for Mahomes consistently.
