We bet this last year and it burnt us but we are looking for revenge. 56% of the money is on the opening kickoff to be a touchback but we are fading the public. I understand it’s an indoor stadium but allow me to explain.
Super Bowl Prediction
In 17 out of the last 20 Super Bowls, we have seen a returned opening kickoff. In the last two decades, we have had a prop with an 85% hit rate at +160. Insanity. You may ask why that is. What many people may not know is the opening kickoff uses a ball that hasn’t been used until the opening kick. Usually, kickers can wear down a ball and soften it to use on the kickoff resulting in a touchback.
Former player Pat McAfee said once on his podcast that this ball they only use for the opening kickoff and then reserve it for Canton where they put it in the Hall of Fame. Although neither team has an electric return man the history suggests that this is more likely to be returned than not and +160 is absolutely a monster value. Let's roll!
