Chiefs vs Eagles Super Bowl 2023 Same-Game Parlay

Leg 1

Jalen Hurts to score a touchdown has been one of my favorite bets throughout the playoffs, and I like it again this week. Hurts started out the season with insane red zone consistency, and ended up scoring 13 regular-season rushing touchdowns and now two postseason rushing touchdowns. A huge part of that was the importance of designed runs in their playcalling, and toward the end of the season, they slowed down a little bit. Now that it's playoff time, we've seen 20 rush attempts and two rushing TDs in blowout game scripts, I think a close game benefits this bet even more. We know the Eagles lead the league in quarterback sneaks this season, and there are so many different ways he can score in the red zone through designed runs, sneaks, and scrambles.

Leg 2

While Patrick Mahomes only had 196 in an injured game against Jacksonville, he bounced back well last week passing for 326 yards against the Bengals. The biggest test was really Mahomes' health, and considering he looked good out there, and will have an additional two weeks to rest and get treatment, I’m confident that he’s good to go. The Eagles do pose a tough test on the defensive side of the ball, but we’ve seen elite defense overcome elite offense in games like this, and pure volume should be enough to get us over this mark. The total being set at 50.5 is another indication that the market has this game being fairly high scoring.

Leg 3

Dallas Goedert is another player I’m looking to target in this matchup. With the cover-two defense that the Chiefs play a lot of, there are in normally a soft spot in the zone over the middle of the field that tight ends can take advantage of. This game is truly a matchup between high-end tight ends with Kelce ranking first and second in tight end YPRR versus zone coverage, along with being first and second in tight end yards after the catch. Goedert has shown that he can beat defense multiple ways, both downfield and generating YAC in a short-yardage situation. I expect Jalen Hurts to be forced to pass a bit more, but he already has five catches in both games despite the low passing volume.
