However, a lot of games come down to end-of-the-game kicks. If a kicker makes their kicks, most fans shrug it off.
But when kickers miss their kicks, memes will pop up all over the internet, clowning a kicker for a big miss.
Kickers are put in pressure spots, and there's no larger stage than the Super Bowl. This game has a tight spread, with the Eagles favored to win by 1.5 points. This game could come down to a field or even an extra point.
Harrison Butker has been in this position before.
He played for the Kansas City Chiefs starting in 2017. He made three extra points but missed a 48-yard field goal in a Wild Card loss to the Tennessee Titans.
In 2019, Butker nailed 11 of 12 extra points. He also made his only field goal attempt in the Super Bowl: a 31-yard field goal.
In 2020, the Chiefs' offense struggled in the Super Bowl, but Butker didn't. He added three field goals and nine points to the Kansas City scoreboard.
The Chiefs didn't make the Super Bowl last season, but Butker converted a 49-yard field goal in regulation to force overtime for the Chiefs in the Divisional Round.
And a couple of weeks ago, Butker nailed the game-winning field goal against the Bengals to help the Chiefs move on to this year's Super Bowl.

However, he does have a long field goal of 62 yards that he made this season. That was the longest kick this season. He's got the leg to kick any field goal from 60 yards out if the Chiefs need it.
Plus, this game is expected to be high-scoring, with the total sitting at 51. Butker should end up kicking at least two extra points, and if other drives aren't finished, he'd probably kick field goals.

Butker nailed two 50-yard field goals against the Jaguars and kicked three field goals against the Bengals.
He's now 5-for-5 in the postseason and is 100% kicking extra points, where he's also 5-for-5.
The Chiefs will likely struggle to finish some drives in a tighter game. That would give Butker a chance to nail some field goals. I'd also trust him since he's already kicked twice in the Super Bowl throughout his career.

Butker only hit 92.7% extra points this season. That's the 31st in the NFL this year. He wasn't great in this spot. However, he's turned it around late and has nailed his last 15 extra points. The Chiefs should at least get t 21 points and score three times. If you agree with this statement, you would take Butker to go Over 2.5 PATs.
