Super Bowl Prediction
Entering Super Bowl LVIIl, both of these kickers are known for their powerful legs. As a result, it would be fair to expect a long field goal to be made today.
Back in Week 6, Harrison Butker kicked a 62-yarder for the Chiefs. Not too shabby. Meanwhile, Eagles kicker Jake Elliott nailed three field goals of at least 50 yards this season. Both of these offenses will move the ball well, and it's entirely possible we will see a long field goal before half or with the clock expiring. Let’s see how this Super Bowl plays out.
Harrison Butker is a big reason the Chiefs are in this game. He has made some clutch field goals for this team all season long and in the playoffs. This game should be a good one and I expect both of these kickers to play a huge role. Andy Reid has no hesitations about giving Butker a shot, even long kicks. The fact that they're playing in Arizona with the weather not being a factor certainly helps this pick. We may even see one of these kickers kick one from 60 yards out. On the other side, Jake Elliott has been rock-solid for the Eagles this year, and like Reid, head coach Nick Sirianni is not afraid to take a chance with his guy.
I expect the over to hit in this game with ease. Look for Butker or Elliot to hit a field goal over 47.5 yards in this one.
