Super Bowl Prediction
Let's get one thing straight here, it doesn't matter if you are Andy Reid and you have been coaching for 24 years, or you are a first-year head coach like Nick Sirianni. There is one thing both of these coaches know and that is you aren't going to shut out the other team. Both coaches can say what they want, but these are two offensive teams built to score. Whether it's a field goal or a touchdown, or any other score, they will need points to win the Super Bowl.
The Chiefs were held to a season-low 17 points in Week 3 against the Colts when they were good back then, and 20 points against the Bills in Week 6. Kansas City scored over 40 points three times, over 30 points five times, and 23 points in the playoffs. It's safe to say they are good for getting over 20 points and near their average of 29 a game.
Harrison Butker is one of the better kickers, but over the whole season he kicked seven field goals under 29 yards. This team isn't going to get to the 10-yard line in the Super Bowl and kick a field goal. The prop we need to beat is 27.5 yards, so technically the 11-yard line, but if the Chiefs are on the 10 or 11 and it's not 4th and goal, this team is going for the touchdown. Even if it won't, we would be shocked if the Chiefs go for a field goal. You can't leave points on the board and Coach Reid has been here before he knows that.
The Eagles aren't much different. This team only attempted 23 field goals all game which isn't even 1.5 a game. Jake Elliott kicked six field goals under 29 yards all year because this team just doesn't do field goals. The Eagles scored over 30 in both playoff games and only had two games under 20 when they scored 10 in Week 2 and 17 against the Colts. They scored over 30 points four times and over 40 points two times.
These teams are coming to score and the Eagles have tried to get the other team offside on 4th down numerous times. This coach doesn't like field goals as we can see by the amount they have tried. If we do see field goals, we just can't see them kicking it from the 11-yard line or shorter. If we can avoid it on the first drive, we should be good the rest of the game, unless it comes down to a field goal to win.
Let's go over 27.5 yards for the shortest field goal and let's hope that both teams' offenses do what they do best and get in the end zone. Take the over 27.5 distance for the shortest successful field goal and let's watch some touchdowns, not field goals today.
