Ben Rajavuori shares his best Super Bowl 57 prop pick. He's eyeing a Patrick Mahomes prop for the big game. Read on to see what the Mahomes prop pick is.

Patrick Mahomes Props: The Best Super Bowl 57 Prop Pick for Mahomes

An unstoppable force meets an immovable object in Super Bowl 57. Patrick Mahomes and Jalen Hurts are the youngest combined quarterback matchup in Super Bowl history. Both teams enter 16-3, both teams scored 546 points this season, and both have six all-pro players. The spread is just about a pick 'em and has flipped and flopped over the past two weeks. With such a close game expected, what is the best way to bet on Mahomes?

Patrick Mahomes Props: The Best Super Bowl 57 Prop Pick for Mahomes

Mahomes was dealing with an ankle injury in the AFC Championship against the Cincinnati Bengals but now has had two weeks to heal. Despite looking limited, he still looked to use his legs in big moments, including a five-yard run on third and four in the last drive of the game to set up the game-winning field goal. This shows that despite the injury, Mahomes is still willing and able to use his legs to make a play.

The Eagles allowed the fourth-most rushing yards to quarterbacks per game this season with an average of 25.4 rushing yards per game. Given the storyline around Mahomes’ ankle, I think that the Chiefs use this as an advantage and that Mahomes will use his legs on key downs to catch the Eagles off guard, much like he did in the late third-down play against the Bengals. The Chiefs may see this as an opportunity to surprise the Eagles' defense with a different look from their quarterback with many people expecting him to sit in the pocket given his ankle.

Mahomes is also the best quarterback in the league in avoiding sacks. He only took a sack on 11% of pressures, which was the lowest rate in the NFL this season. With the Eagles' defensive line stacked with talent, Mahomes may have to scramble more and create plays with his legs, even on a recovering ankle. This will give him multiple opportunities to escape the pocket and gain yards on the edge, as he is forced to scramble and make plays on the move.

The combination of Mahomes’ ability to use his legs and the Eagles’ susceptibility to allowing rushing yards to quarterbacks make me like the bet that Mahomes will rush for over 19.5 yards in Super Bowl 57. With two weeks to heal, Mahomes' injury should be much more manageable than it was against the Bengals. The line is dropped because of the injury, and I'm taking advantage of the lower line.
