2021 Masters Picks, Predications, Odds & Betting Preview: 39/1 Day Two Parlay
2021 Masters Picks & Predictions: Masters Day Two Preview
What did we learn from the opening day of the 2021 Masters? This course isn't a par 67, and ever since Bryson DeChambeau suggested it was, he's had a real battle to make the standard par. DeChambeau wasn't the only player to struggle on day one of the Masters, Rory McIlroy, Jason Day and Sungjae Im all posted big numbers.
Bernd Wiesberger's eagle putt into the water showed us just how dangerous these greens can be. For day two Masters predictions, I've adjusted the model to only include performances on "fast" or "lightning" greens.
Finding the fairway was a huge factor to success on the opening day of the Masters, coming into the event, there were plenty of handicappers stressing the importance for distance off the tee in their Masters predictions. However, it came apparent that distance was a little irrelevant if you weren't finding the fairway.
2021 Masters Picks & Predictions: Webb Simpson Worth Wagering After Day One
Justin Rose could run away with this year's Masters and make for a very boring weekend, however, with his latest injury concerns and the way this course is playing, there's no chance I'd be backing him at +400.
If you removed Spieth's blemishes off the tee then he played an excellent round. He will put it all together on at least one round this week and score low, however, there's zero chance he doesn't find the trees on at least one occasion over the next three days. There's low scores on the table for Jordan Spieth, but there's also a big one lurking round the corner.
Webb Simpson is the one I'd be wagering at the top of the market, especially with Bet365 or Unibet who are offering each-way places. Simpson finished his round two under, and if you filter out "fast" and "lighting" greens over the last two years, he ranks well in most assets needed.
Webb Simpson's Masters odds are +2000 with BetMGM - Click here to join BetMGM
Jon Rahm and Patrick Reed also rank well in similar conditions over the last couple of years.
Max Homa Top Ten Finish At The 2021 Masters
It's tricky to see Max Homa winning the 2021 Masters, however, his odds of +21000 are very tempting to have a small wager on. The +800 for him to record a top ten finish are of real interest, well worth wagering with FanDuel Sportsbook.
Sungjae Im Top 20 Finish At The 2021 Masters
Sungjae Im blew up on the 15th, which is very easy to do, but apart from that he had a pretty solid round. Sungjae has left himself too much to do to win the 2021 Masters, however, given he might only need to get to a few under to finish in the top 20, backing him at +500 to do so is a smart play. T20 is currently at +1.
2021 Masters Predictions: 39/1 Three-Ball Parlay For Day Two
Below I've picked out my day two afternoon three-ball parlay, which is priced at 39/1 with FanDuel.
Sebastian Munoz let me down in the parlay yesterday, but i'm revisiting purely as I can't see a world where Henrisk Stenson puts together back-to-back solid rounds. Munoz actually played pretty well on the opening day, and should have these two covered.
2021 Masters Three-Ball: Munoz/Stenson/Streb
Matt Jones
Like yesterday, this is a straight shoot-out between Jones and Fritelli, and I have little confidence with Fritelli's game off the tee at the minute.
2021 Masters Three-Ball: Jones/Lyle/Frittelli
Will Zalatoris
Will Zalatoris played exceptionally well on the opening day, and only has Langer to really beat to win this three ball. Should have his covered.
2021 Masters Three-Ball: Langer/Zalatoris/Long
Corey Conners
Remove the mistake on 13 and Conners had a pretty solid opening day at the Masters, he's one to potentially look at in the futures market.
2021 Masters Three-Ball: Conners/Schwartzel/Woo Kim
Viktor Hovland
Viktor Hovland did remarkably well to finish one over for the day after posting a treble on the opening hole. Hovland will make errors, and will have a big score lurking round the corner, but in current form he's the most likely out of this trio to go really low.
2021 Masters Three Ball: Hovland/Koepka/Hovland
If you were looking for a bit more value in the market, I wouldn't be against throwing both Webb Simpson and Harris English into the parlay.
