RSM Classic Longshot Picks

Rick Gehman: Justin Lower (+8000) (Bet $100 to collect $8,100) Want to back Lower? Get the best odds at FanDuel

Yes, Lower missed the cut in Houston last week but it required his worst putting performance in nearly six months -- something that is unlikely to happen again. Now he travels to Sea Island where his wedge play will be rewarded and his lack of distance off-the-tee won't be punished. This is one of the better "buy spots" for Lower on the schedule.

Geoff Fienberg: Greyson Sigg (+8000) (Bet $100 to collect $8,100) Back Geoff's longshot by getting the best odds at FanDuel

My Georgia Bulldog of choice this week is Sigg who returns home and to a course he's very familiar with, while displaying the best form of his PGA tour career. The course comfort and form are a perfect match for me this week. Deep dive the numbers and you see a very well-rounded player whose shown an ability to make birdies in bunches and get a hot putter.

Sam Eaton: Russell Knox (+10000) (Bet $100 to collect $10,100) Get the best odds for this longshot pick over at DraftKings

Russell Knox always ranks well in statistical models and rarely delivers. Even with that in mind, Russell Knox shouldn't be 100/1. His iron play is in great shape, averaging 3 shots gained over the last five competitions. His off-the-tee game is in a pretty good position as well. Worth chancing.

Tom Jacobs: Ben Griffin +10000 (Bet $100 to collect $10,100) Get the best odds for this longshot pick over at DraftKings

Ben Griffin isn't far removed from working as a loan officer, but in his first full season on the Korn Ferry Tour last season, he finished runner-up three times in 2022.

On the PGA Tour this season, he's already finished 3rd at the Bermuda Classic, where he had a chance to win. Before that final-round disaster at the Bermuda Championship, where he gave up a strong lead, Griffin was already putting together a solid season. He finished 24th at the Sanderson Farms, when 10th at the halfway mark, but he's bounced back nicely since.

59th at the Mayakoba wasn't too much to shout about, but he opened the week with a 66, to show some resilience after his Sunday disappointment the week before. He then pegged it up at the Houston Open last week, on a course that doesn't necessarily play to his strengths, and he finished 16th, which suggests he's still in strong form.

Griffin has ranked 4th, 22nd and 34th in SG Approach, in the events where data was available suggests he's hitting his irons well enough, and that doesn't include the Bermuda where he should have won.

Earlier this year, Griffin shot a 59 at the Plantation Course in a casual round, but it was the fact he holed out his second shot on the 18th to seal the deal, that made it that bit more exciting. A former pro, and member here at Sea Island, Griffin will feel at home, and this may be the best chance for him to capitalize on some good form.
