Genesis Invitational Picks and Predictions: Looking for Adam Scott and Keegan Bradley to Find Success
If the most electric field in golf that came down to two of the best golfers in the world battling for world number one last week didn't get you excited, hopefully, this year's Genesis Invitational will. With this new PGA Tour Schedule, we have back-to-back weeks of Designated Events. This week we will see every eligible PGA TOUR member inside the OWGR top 50, with the exception of Aaron Wise competing for the $20 million purse.

Genesis Invitational Prediction
The most significant news coming into this week is the fact that the greatest golfer of all time, Tiger Woods will be making his first non-major start since the 2020 ZOZO Championship. Now, this is not just any other PGA Tour event for the cat. Tiger is the tournament host and will be handing this winner the trophy unless, of course, it is him.
If the field and Tiger Woods still wasn’t enough for you, we have an absolutely incredible golf course at hand this week. The Genesis Invitational will be held at Riveria Country Club, an extremely exclusive and beautifully designed course in Los Angeles, California.
Riviera Country Club is a 7,300-yard par 71 that features fast and undulating Poa greens. This course also features elevation changes throughout and has many memorable holes. Most notably the short par 4 10th has been one of the most fun holes to watch on tour.
Although looking at the scorecard, the length of the course does not seem significant, this is certainly a stern and difficult test of even the best golfers in the world. -13 is the average winning score over the past 9 years. This is mainly due to some long par 4 and 3’s and extremely difficult areas around these fast poa greens.
Here are the key stats I am looking at this week:
- SG: OTT Driving Distance SG: APP Proximity from 150-200 Bogey Avoidance SG: ARG SG: Putting (Poa)
There are two golfers that I am targeting in the outright market this week.
Outright Selections for Genesis Invitational
Adam Scott +6000 (Bet $100 to collect $6100) Get the best odds, available at Bet365
The first golfer that I have wagered on in the outright market is a two-time winner at Riveria, Adam Scott at +6000 on Bet365. Now it does not take a lot of research to find out that Scott has had a pretty impressive run of golf at this tournament and has been playing great golf dating back to last summer.
Scott has won this event twice in his career, once in his debut in 2005 and then more recently in 2020. Along with these wins, Scott also has 5 top-11 finishes at Riviera including a 4th place finish last year. Scott was able to gain a staggering 5.9 strokes on approach and 7.2 putting. This Aussie very well could have been in the mix to win this tournament if not for an awful around-the-green week.
I just believe that this Masters Champion has one more win in him before his career ends. We have recently seen a lot of golfers surging late in their careers and I think Scott fits the build well. I also think that +6000 is a great number. This has no correlation to what is going to occur this week but the last two winners of this event being in this exact range is certainly promising.
Scott absolutely dominates on Poa greens as over the past 50 rounds, Scott ranks 1st in SG: Putting on Poa greens. This is a number play on a proven winner that loves this track.
Keegan Bradley +7500 (Bet $100 to collect $7600) Get the best odds, available at DraftKings
Keegan Bradley is a golfer that I am very interested in for the outright market this week. This major winner has seen a bit of a renaissance at this point in his career and I think another PGA Tour win could be in store. For years, Keegan has always been known as one of the best ball-strikers on tour, sometimes being held back by his putter. However, over the past year, we have seen a vast improvement in his putter. This was seen during his win in the fall at the ZOZO and his runner-up finish at Torrey Pines just a few weeks ago.
What was so impressive and promising about that finish at Torrey, was that he led the field in SG: Putting. Torrey features similar Poa Greens and if Keegan likes them at the moment, I really like his chances this week.
Keegan is also a golfer that you want to play on difficult conditions and on courses where you have to hit a lot of long irons. Over the past 50 rounds, on difficult scoring conditions. Keegan ranks 11th in total strokes gained, 7th in SG: OTT, and 15th in Ball Striking. I don't think Keegn is done just yet.
Also, even though the fields at this event have been great. We have seen a lot of golfers in this range win. We have not seen a winner go off and below 33/1 since 2018 with many winners going off above 50/1.
